We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Casgraux and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think NOT taking risk in life is wayyyy more risky than what society or the conventional crowed looks on as “ Risky “ For young creatives, entrepreneurs, future entrepreneurs, or anyone rather that’s too scared, imitated or are busy comparing; measuring the difference between what they have to offer vs someone else or “ has been done “ to understand all things tangible, all Technology, Art, Film, Brand, everything we use and value was once a persons thought and what followed was creation – then risk. In my personal life and even career I’m pulled into all my projects through my heart, my heart runs my life which is shortly followed by risk. My heart together with risk has gotten me where I am today. So take more risk, you’ll be surprised by the adventures that follow.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
First and foremost I’ve always considered myself a creative above everything else. 10 years ago I honed my energy and took the leap and created my first brand with who is now my current business partner. We launched the first physician approved mensuration kit for teen girls and girls with special needs which was accompanied by an education program. What soon followed was our beauty brand GBY BEAUTY which quickly expanded throughout California and New York, then national consulting contracts started rolling in with some of the biggest fashion and sports brands in the US. There has always been 1-3 things I’m working on at a time, I work better when I’m consumed within a creative environment. That, coupled hard work, passion and believing in the myself and / or project (s) have gotten me where I am today. It hasn’t come without it’s challenges, learning who you can trust, who to ask for help along with who you have in you’re life and give your energy too was something that was completely new to me. When your just getting started you are excited and everything is new – you soon realize that not everyone has the same intentions for your success, brand and overall well-being. Mistakes are inevitable but don’t let them stop you or prevent you from believing in yourself. At the end of the day if I can look at what I’ve accomplished within a project, brand or a current creative endeavor and be happy or know I’ve done my best that equals success to me. My life as a multifaceted entrepreneur has lead me out of the beauty and well-ness space and into Real Estate a more creative projects as an actress.
Exploring the creative side of me as an actress is what I’m most excited about these days! I’ve been casted in a feature film as a lead in a period piece that will be directed by Dinora Salcedo. I’m very grateful to be given this opportunity by Dinora. She’s is an extremely talented director, thought provoking as a writer and her story-telling style is timeless.
At this point in my creative career – acting seems like the next step, expressing myself through story telling seems like the next step, so I’m very happy to introduce this creative art form in the next chapter of my life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

All these creative amazing personalities mixed in with our talented stylist breeds an energetic unparalleled environment!
