Meet Courtney Paige | Professional Organizer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Paige and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
With a background in Visual Merchandise Management I was working a lot. Overnights, early mornings and over time we’re my regular routine. But at a certain point I found myself getting burnt out. Which made me no good to anyone. I now make my own schedule, which includes rest days. Not just days off to do errands, but really resting my body and mind from the constant go. Confident that myself and my clients benefit from a happier, rested Courtney.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own a Professional Organizing business specializing in one on one services. Assisting in sorting, editing and resetting closets, kitchens, pantry’s and garages to name a few areas.
I love hearing “ I was looking that”, or I feel so much lighter from client’s. I truly stand by my slogan” A clear space, provides a clear mind.
With over 15 years experience in Visual Merchandising, sewing and design attention to detail comes naturally. I honestly also get it from my mother. I have a gift of making sense of the mess for people, which really brings me joy and purpose.
Starting a business isn’t easy but I found that doing things on my own terms works better for me. Life is to short not to take risks. Having faith that God always places me in position to provide for myself is what keeps me going.
I’ve learned to trust the process, that over-communicating isn’t a bad thing and that no one can do what I can do like I do it. So stop camparing myslef to others.
I’d like to be remembered for actually making a difference in peoples lives.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a home body so I don’t go out a lot, nor enjoy big crowds. I’m not the person to ask where hot spots are. But I do enjoy nature and art. We would definitely hit the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the Met Musum, visit the high line. Go plant shopping( I own at least 50)at local shops in Queens.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m dedicating this to my tribe( close friend group),Reesey, Julie and Capri. We have friendships spanning over 20yrs. They have been my support system, cheerleaders, editors and first clients. The first to support every wild idea I have and go tell 10 people about it. The first to remind me of how talented and special i am. One can go far with honesty, love and support. I’d be lost without them. They are my family.
