Hi Cristina, how does your business help the community?
At The Mommy Center, we’re all about spreading love and support throughout our wonderful community, especially for new parents who often find themselves feeling isolated and lonely after welcoming a new baby. You know what’s surprising? Studies show that around 15-20% of new parents experience postpartum depression and anxiety. That’s where we step in!

Our main goal? To be your rock during this challenging time. Our Mommy and Me classes are led by amazing experts who cover everything from postpartum essentials to super practical tips and tricks.

But we’re not just about learning; we’re about making friends too! Our meetups are like warm, friendly gatherings where moms can connect and build their own little tribe. Whether it’s playing with the little ones at the park, having a moms’ night out, or just enjoying a coffee chat, it’s all about making you feel seen, heard, and validated. We understand how crucial it is to have a support system, and we’re here to be that for you.

Oh, and guess what? We’re not just for moms – we’re for dads too! We’re proud to be one of the first places offering Daddy and Me classes, because we believe in supporting new dads on their journey too.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Mommy Center, where we’re more than just a business; we’re a support system for moms on their incredible journey through motherhood. We know that being a mom doesn’t come with a manual, and that’s why we’re here to offer the guidance and support you need. Our expert-led classes are designed to empower you as a parent, covering everything from infant-child development to post-baby care and self-love.

What truly sets us apart is our commitment to creating a community of moms who are not just fellow parents but also friends and cheerleaders for each other. We believe in the power of a supportive mom tribe, where you can learn, share, and grow together.

Getting to where we are today hasn’t been easy. It’s taken three years of hard work, often burning the midnight oil after the kids go to sleep. Balancing the roles of being a mom and a business owner can be exhausting, but the journey has been incredibly rewarding. Being voted the best mommy and me classes in Orange County is a testament to the dedication and commitment we’ve poured into building this community.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, I am a big fan of the coast, so the plan would definitely involve several visits to beautiful spots like Laguna Beach, Newport Beach, and San Clemente. We’d start with a delightful breakfast at Beachcomber Cafe, then embark on a refreshing hike at Crystal Cove, and later indulge in some lunch and shopping at Fashion Island. And, of course, we can’t miss out on some quality relaxation time by the beach. Speaking of dining, one of my top restaurant picks would be Nick’s in Laguna Beach—it’s a personal favorite!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to Carmen Stramara, an incredible individual who has played a pivotal role in the success of The Mommy Center. Carmen’s dedication to facilitating our classes and fostering a warm and supportive atmosphere is truly remarkable. Her passion for helping new parents is boundless, and it’s heartwarming to witness the positive impact she has on moms and dads who have benefited from her invaluable support. Having Carmen as part of our team has been a blessing, and I am immensely grateful for her unwavering commitment and boundless compassion. She truly deserves this recognition!
