Hi Crystal, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I pursued an artistic and creative career because it aligns perfectly with my passions and background, and it brings me immense joy and fulfillment. My journey started with a love for the creative side, as I studied fashion, but I initially didn’t know what I wanted to do. I had a series of corporate jobs in e-commerce, marketing, and retail, but none of these roles brought me any joy or satisfaction.

Having been raised in various countries like Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico, I loved the international experiences, but they also brought a lot of confusion and uncertainty due to the constant changes and lack of stability. This made me want to share my journey, as I knew there were others out there who felt the same way. I felt a bit alone, and I didn’t want others in a similar situation to feel that way.

Starting my YouTube channel was a turning point. It made me the happiest I had ever been and made me realize that this was what I should be doing – following my passion and doing what I love the most, while spreading helpful messages to random people on the internet. I was inspired by other YouTubers growing up, and I wanted to do the same for others.

This journey has led me to venture into other areas, like starting my own clothing line to spread more positive messages. After many trials and errors, I discovered what truly gives me joy and passion. This is why I pursued a creative career – it suits me the best, and as a friend once told me, I have grown into myself.

I’m constantly amazed by the limitless possibilities of creativity, and that’s something I truly love about my career.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is my unique blend of creativity, resilience, and my international background. Having lived in different countries like Korea, the Philippines, and Mexico, I’ve gained diverse perspectives that I incorporate into my work. This multicultural experience allows me to connect with a wide audience and bring fresh ideas to the table.
I am most proud of my ability to inspire and connect with people through my content. Starting my YouTube channel was a turning point in my life, and I’m excited about how it has grown into a platform where I can share meaningful messages and positive vibes. Reaching milestones and receiving heartfelt messages from viewers have been incredibly rewarding moments.
Additionally, I’m excited about venturing into new projects, such as starting my own clothing line. This endeavor allows me to spread positivity and creativity even further, blending my passion for fashion with my desire to make a positive impact.
Overall, what sets me apart is my dedication to staying true to myself, my willingness to take risks, and my commitment to creating content that resonates with and inspires others.

Getting to where I am today professionally was far from easy. Like many others, I struggled with fear of judgment and what others might think of me. However, I realized that I didn’t want to live with regrets simply because I was worried about others’ opinions. I also came to understand that most people are more concerned with themselves than with anyone else. This perspective shift gave me the courage to start pursuing my dreams.
Another challenge I faced was the tendency to compare myself to others who were more successful. This comparison was disheartening at times, but I overcame it by reading, journaling, and reminding myself that everyone has a unique journey. These practices helped me to focus on my own path and progress.
Even now, I continue to face daily challenges, but I work on my mental self by engaging in self-care, personal development, and consistently reminding myself of my own journey and growth. This focus helps me stay grounded and motivated, allowing me to keep moving forward despite any obstacles.

Lessons I’ve Learned Along the Way
1. Persistence is Key No matter what progress looks like, continue pushing forward. Someone once told me, “If you knew your goals would be reached in one week, would you stop?” This question helped me understand the importance of perseverance, regardless of how long the journey takes or how slow the progress seems.
2. Take Action and Try You’ll never know what you can achieve unless you try. This simple yet powerful lesson has encouraged me to take risks and seize opportunities, understanding that inaction only leads to missed chances.
3. Embrace Openness and Comfort Be open to everything, as long as it feels right and makes you comfortable. This lesson is closely tied to the previous one—putting yourself out there and stepping out of your comfort zone is essential. I came across a quote that resonated with me deeply: “You’re not doing anything special if you’re not scared. That’s the thing.” This reminded me that true growth and achievement often come from moments of fear and uncertainty.
These lessons have been pivotal in my journey, guiding me to stay persistent, take action, and embrace new experiences with an open mind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d ensure they have the best time ever by creating a balanced itinerary of relaxation, adventure, and cultural experiences. We’d start with a morning pilates session followed by a delightful brunch with mimosas. Afternoons would be spent picnicking in the park with a charcuterie board, capturing cute photos, and later exploring local museums or galleries. Evenings would include dinner at trendy spots and cocktails at rooftop bars with breathtaking views. We’d have spa days with massages and facials, take scenic bike rides, and visit local farmers’ markets followed by cooking classes. To cap off the nights, we’d indulge in skincare routines, face masks, and heartfelt late-night chats, making the visit both memorable and rejuvenating.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
One major influence is the book “Tuesdays with Morrie.” This book had a profound impact on me, especially the quote, “Devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning.” This quote made me deeply reflect on what truly makes me happy and what my purpose is. It helped me realize that life is too short to spend time on things that don’t bring joy or fulfillment and that it’s important to live without regrets and to take risks despite fear.

Alongside this, my mom has been an unwavering pillar of support. She has always encouraged me to follow my dreams and try new things, celebrating my small victories like reaching 10K followers and supporting me through my challenges. Her lessons, sometimes delivered the tough way typical of Asian parents, have shaped me into who I am today. I am incredibly grateful for her unconditional love and support.
