We had the good fortune of connecting with Cyndee Arroyo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cyndee, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I decided to pursue a creative career due to the fact that allowed me to be flexible with my creativity and express myself in an entirely different format. Photography is a medium that has always fascinated me. The ability to capture an amazing moment in time is not an easy feat. Once I started to shoot, it quickly became my passion. That passion inspires me to inspire others, persevere, and create memorable images.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from most photographers is that I see the world through a unique perspective. I give my audience a fresh and creative view of reality. I find ways to evoke an emotion in every image that I create. For example, if I am shooting a concert I want my audience to feel the energy from that evening. It took a lot of hard work and perseverance to get to where I am professionally today. I started out as a music photographer. I am proud to say that over time my images of bands have been published internationally. I have cultivated some amazing friendships along the way, as well. I have learned throughout my career that the most important thing is to keep shooting, keep learning, and never give up. Currently, my genres have expanded from music photography to pet photography, commercial photography, and fashion photography.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take my best friend to the Huntington Garden to explore all the various themed gardens. A seaside stroll in Malibu followed by some delicious food at Malibu Farm Pier Cafe. A walk alongside the Venice Canal. We would marvel at the architectural wonder of the Getty. We would admire its wonderful art galleries and gardens. A visit to the Icons of Darkness exhibit to take in all the movie memorabilia. We would explore Beverly Hills with a stop at Maison Ladurée for some coffee and croissants. We would watch the night sky through a telescope at Griffith Observatory and take in the view of the city at night. This adventure would not be complete without a studio tour and a movie at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to extend my gratitude to my family, friends, and clients for their unwavering support and encouragement. I am honored to be surrounded by so many amazing people.
