We had the good fortune of connecting with Cyra Aggarwal and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cyra, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“It is our choices, Harry, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities” ~ Albus Dumbledore.
This cliche quote from my all-time favourite book series holds a lot of meaning to me. It shows how life isn’t just about our external achievements and capabilities but also about our internal consciousness, ethics, morals, and judgment and what we choose to do with those abilities. Our decisions reflect who we truly are at our core, especially when it comes to doing the right thing, even when it’s hard.
What should our readers know about your business?
Since starting my blog, I’ve always dreamed of creating *The Literary Vault Book Box*, and I’m truly proud of how steadily it has progressed. *The Literary Vault Book Box* is a curated book subscription service with various plans to choose from, each filled with cute literary goodies to treasure!
What sets *The Literary Vault Book Box* apart is my focus on promoting authors from diverse backgrounds and genres, highlighting the wide range of literature out there. Each book is carefully selected to enhance the reading experience with a fresh, intriguing story. The box is about more than just receiving a book; it’s about fostering a deeper connection between the reader and the stories they love.
Like any venture, there have been bumps along the way. I had to overcome challenges like sourcing the right books, managing logistics, and, most notably, marketing to reach my target audience. But I overcame these obstacles by staying true to The Literary Vault’s mission—to bring fresh, engaging content to readers—and by listening closely to customer feedback. I’ve learned that persistence and adaptability are key and that it’s okay to pivot when necessary.
What I want the world to know about ‘The Literary Vault Book Box’ is that it’s more than just a subscription—it’s a celebration of literature and the power of stories. My journey reflects my love for books and my desire to share that with others. I hope to continue growing this community and inspiring people to find joy in reading.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I’d take them on an adventure to Asheville, about a two-hour drive from my hometown of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Since Waxhaw is a small suburban town with not much going on outside of local malls and restaurants, starting our week in Charlotte would be a great way to blend city life with some fun before heading to Asheville. We’d kick things off in Uptown Charlotte with a visit to Discovery Place, a super fun and interactive science museum that’s perfect for some hands-on learning. After that, I’d take them to Optimist Hall, one of my favorite spots, to grab a bite, where we could enjoy a variety of delicious food from different vendors. The next day, we’d hit up Carowinds for some thrilling rides and soak in the amusement park vibes. If we have time, we might even swing by the NASCAR Hall of Fame to check out some racing history.
Then it would be time for Asheville, where the real fun begins! I’d check us into the Omni Resort, and we’d stroll around the vibrant city, which is always buzzing with a unique and colorful vibe. We’d definitely stop by ‘Downtown Books and News’, a lovely bookstore and newsstand located on Lexington Avenue in the heart of downtown Asheville. This cozy spot sells used books and has a warm atmosphere that makes it a must-see for any book lover. Plus, we’d likely stumble upon various festivals or events happening throughout the week, which is always a blast. After visiting the bookstore, we could explore some local art galleries and enjoy the street performers that give Asheville its lively character. After soaking up all that Asheville has to offer, we’d head back to Charlotte for our final day, where we could chill at South End, check out some local shops, and grab a nice lunch before wrapping up our awesome adventure.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d love to dedicate my shoutout to my incredible parents. They’ve been my biggest supporters, guiding me every step of the way. I truly owe so much of my achievements to their unwavering support and dedication. Their love, belief in me, and constant encouragement have shaped me into who I am today, and I’m beyond grateful for all they’ve done to help me reach my dreams.
