We had the good fortune of connecting with Damian King and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Damian, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
When I started this journey, the end game was always to win the Oscar for Best Motion Picture or Best Director. But most importantly, I just want my catalog of work to be an example that anything is possible if you just go for it. In the initial year of my career as this persona, I went from being an unknown to being recognized and acknowledged by some of the creatives I have looked up to. And all it took was for me to get up and click upload. That is the hardest part. If I did it, anyone can do it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart is that I have incorporate my film school background in every video I shoot. I use cinema as inspiration for each project I shoot. Also, I have recenlty included AI in a lot of my projects. My schedule is very unpredictable, so this tool is a huge help for me when it comes to getting my ideas. out. But what has gotten me this far in my career is that I allowed myself to be taught. I have asked for advice when I can and have listened when it is given. I am currently trying to overcome the challenge of getting more eyes on me and to generate more views. But I do not see it as a negative. It is only gas to the flame.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I mean we can stay in Los Angeles, but you know what”s more fun? Road trip up the state ! Visiting all the famous film locations all the way to the Bay Area. Take the scenic route up the coast, Neptunes Net would be a good food spot. Basically explore the places where the people wouldn’t give a second look.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To the people who knew the man behind the mask, to all the times you looked at me, asked and begged for me to get back out there. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, I love you all. I won’t let you down this time.
