We had the good fortune of connecting with Dana Alvarez Kristal Uribe and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dana Alvarez, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
We are two lash artist from the same city. We’ve come together and created Lash House LA. Our goal is to share our story and give an opportunity to help and inspire others in their lash or beauty journey to starting a business/ career.
We want this to be a place to bring the lash community together. just like we combined our business to show others that we can help grow. We want to teach and motivate people to become their own boss. Encouraging taking the risk and become self-employed to create a stable career and lifestyle.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are two lash artists/liscensed estheticians from that started out business in the Antelope Valley. We then came together and created Lash House LA for aspiring lash artists. Our goal is to share our

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When Dana comes over to my town, I’d first take her to my favorite coffee shop. Trio and they have the best Matcha, but my favorite is the mazapán iced latte and ham and cheese croissant for breky! Then we’d get home and get ready for the day and we are going to be going off-roading. My family and I have a route near a waterfall by Pear Blossom and Little Rock. I grew up out here in the desert so we love dirt bikes and 4×4. After that to end our day we’ll grab some lunch at Charlie Brown farms it is a little further but they have some good bbq brisket burgers and an incredibly quirky gift shop that’s so fun. It definitely will give you nostalgia. Forsure a place you want to check off your bucket list. Then after when Kristal comes down to visit me, we will start our day at MaClovia to enjoy some breakfast, they have some fire dubia chocolate French toast there! After breakfast we can then go shopping at a local market or walmart/target for essential to head down to dockweiler beach for the day and do a bon fire more towards the sunsetting. Then after we can pack up to head home and if we are in the mood for a sweet treat we can stop at Handles for an ice cream since it’s down the street from where I live. Then she can stay the night and the next morning we can wake up early to go Runyon Canyon Park to enjoy the city view once we reach the top of the hike trail. After we finish our hike we can go get ready then grab an acai bowl from one of my favorite spots, island botega in Cerritos and after we can walk around Cerritos mall. Then if we get hungry again we can go eat at the buffet across the street (4 seasons). They have some good habachi and so much more.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
So far along the way we would like to give a couple shoutouts. (Kristal) i’d like to first start off with Dana. We both are consistently learning from each other, giving each other mentorship, a helping hand when in need, constructive criticism to help us better each other every day.
These are a few women that have been inspiring and empowering to us, and the lash community. The experiences we’ve had with them and every story is unique. We love, sharing the similar story and goals.
