Meet Daniel Adams | Musician & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Adams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, why did you pursue a creative career?
I’ve wanted to be a musician since I was a little boy. I grew up in a musical family, so it was just part of my DNA. Once I got a taste of the joy of being an artist and the happiness you can bring to other people, I knew it was all I wanted to do. Once I got enough reps, performances and competitions under my belt, I started thinking I could really do this for a living. Aside from fortune and fame, it was the one profession that took me and those around me to a state of pure happiness.

What should our readers know about your business?
OC Strings and LA Strings have been my projects for the last 15 years. We are group of musicians, composers, arrangers, songwriters and creatives that make music for recordings and live performances.
It has been a long and persistent dream that I still work at daily. I still don’t feel like we’ve gotten our big break, even though we’ve been lucky enough to play with some of the biggest artists in the world. I always think there is room for improvement and that’s what keeps me pushing myself and my team to become better. It’s not easy, but staying focused and determined is something we can all do to improve the world around us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have to explore LA and OC, my favorites. We would have to do a show at the Hollywood bowl, it’s my favorite venue. It’s so iconic and I always love performing there. Of course we would have to have lots of delicious foods and drinks. I’m a sucker for Black Trumpet Bistro in Huntington Beach. I also love Geoffrey’s in Malibu. But it wouldn’t be quite right if we didn’t get some Korean BBQ and sushi along the way. Napa wine, French wine, craft beer, soju and sake. Of course no southern Cali trio is complete without some time at the beach. Venice for some crazy and Crystal Cove for some peace and quiet. I would also do a recording studio tour: East West Studios, the Village, and even the big ones like Warner Brothers and Sony.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has always been my biggest support system and I know I wouldn’t be here without the support of my parents and brothers. Now that I have my own wife and two boys, they mean the world to me and are my reason for getting up in the morning. everything I do as an artist is because of and for my family and friends.
