Meet Daniel de Souza | Photographer & Videographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel de Souza and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel, what principle do you value most?
One of the most important values for me is authenticity. The reason behind this is that, through my photographs, I seek to capture genuine and real moments that reflect the essence of what I am photographing.
Authenticity in photography means presenting the world as it is, without excessive manipulations or alterations that can distort reality. It is important for me to convey the true atmosphere and emotions present in each scene, which can lead to a deeper connection with the people who view my photos.
Furthermore, I value creativity and originality in my work. I seek to find unique angles, interesting perspectives, and unexpected moments that make my photos stand out and impact those who see them.
Of course, as a photographer I can also have other important values, such as respect for the environment in my projects, empathy towards the subjects I photograph or the search for beauty in everyday life. Each photographer may have their own values and principles, but authenticity and creativity are fundamental aspects for me in my work as a “visualrota” photographer.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from other photographers is that I focus on capturing authentic and emotional moments in images. I seek to convey the beauty and essence of each scene and subject, whether it be a stunning natural landscape, an intimate portrait, or an intriguing detail. My style is focused on visual storytelling and capturing life as it is, without excessive artifice or retouching.
What makes me most proud and emotional is when my photographs manage to move people, evoke emotions or inspire them in some way. Being able to connect with my audience through my work is really rewarding and motivates me to continue perfecting my art.
Getting to where I am today as a professional photographer has not been an easy road. I have faced various challenges, such as competition in the industry, seeking opportunities to showcase my work, and overcoming moments of self-doubt. However, the passion for photography and the desire to share my vision with the world kept me going.
To overcome challenges, I have learned to be persistent, to believe in my work, and to learn from constructive criticism. Each obstacle has been an opportunity to grow and improve my technical and creative skills. The key has been to stay true to my artistic vision and not constantly compare myself to others, but instead focus on my own progress and evolution as a photographer.
Throughout my journey, I have learned that photography is a powerful form of expression and that each image tells a unique story. Each photograph is an opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with the world around me.
I want the world to know that through “visualrota” I seek to share my passion for photography and transmit my vision of the world. The goal is to inspire others to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us, to value authenticity, and to find meaning in the little things. My art is a form of connection and communication that transcends language barriers and seeks to touch the hearts of those who observe it.
Also, I want to thank all the fans and photography lovers who have supported me on this journey. Every interaction, every comment and every like means a lot to me and motivates me to continue creating images that inspire and resonate with the public. Thank you for being part of this photo adventure at “visualrota”!
