We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Odesanya Cherie Chua and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniel Odesanya, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk-taking is exciting and pretty much the only reason why we are living in LA and building our business! Both of us took a leap of faith when we decided to drop everything behind to live the LA dream. We did the same when we decided to start this business. We continue to take risks in our day to day personal and business decisions. We believe that the worthiest and most sought after outcomes always coincidentally involve a big risk to achieve. We live for the thrill and always remain open to the learning lessons if things don’t go as planned!
What should our readers know about your business?
Luxe Bites just celebrated our one year anniversary in Los Angeles but we deliver like veterans in the catering industry. We stand out by our unparalleled customer service, studious attention to detail, ability to customize, and our undeniably luxurious aesthetics in our charcuterie displays. We always strive to put ourselves in the shoes of a client/consumer to best understand how we can exceed expectations across every front.
We recently reached our best sales to date months in June which was a proud moment for us! In the early stages of the business, we came in strong and opened for business from 8am to midnight! We still exert the same amount of drive and energy towards our business one year later but learning from experience and road bumps has tremendously helped us improve efficiency by a mile so that we continue to work hard but yield more results and sales!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we had friends visiting Los Angeles (which they all find a reason to visit), we would find ourselves visiting our favorite beaches- Laguna Beach and Manhattan Beach! Lunch with a view would be enjoyed at The Strand House in Manhattan Beach after a fun bike ride along the coast. You will find us brunching with bottomless mimosas at Beauty & Essex in Hollywood on Sunday morning followed by some shopping on Rodeo Drive. We will squeeze in a couple of hikes to the Hollywood Sign that will be followed by smoothies from Body Energy Club. We will also be sure to somehow find our way fine-dining at Mastro’s Steakhouse or Nobu in Malibu followed by drinks and desserts at Catch LA- Can’t miss the famous chocolate cake tower!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We want to thank our parents and siblings for their unconditional support! It isn’t easy being so far from home but they keep us motivated and keep us going!
