We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniela Lindh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniela, what role has risk played in your life or career?
In life, instead of focusing on “risks,” I consider the concept of “chances” or “opportunities.” While “risk” is often associated with negativity and fear, “chance” is a more positive and hopeful term. In fact, in French, “bonne chance” means “good luck.”

It’s all about mindset. You have to step outside of your comfort zone, take a leap of faith and be confident that everything will be okay. I dare to take chances and that is what brought me to where I am today. If you can envision what you truly want, believe that it’s already yours, work hard, and trust the process, you will get there eventually.

The road to reaching your goals can take quick turns, detours, dead ends, and you may be making laps around the same roundabout. Sometimes you might need to add a stop to your GPS, but eventually you’ll reach your destination. Just make sure to bring amazing company, some good vibes, a tank full of gas and know that it is ok to pull over when you see the engine light flashing.

That’s how I think about risk. I would rather take my chances… 😉

What should our readers know about your business?
I am a luxury hair extension specialist in vibrant West Hollywood. My salon suite is located on the famous Sunset strip. I have over 15 years of experience in the hairdressing industry and hold licenses in both Sweden and California. I have a thorough understanding of Scandinavian fine hair thanks to my education and experience from Sweden, and I apply this knowledge to my work.

Recently, I got certified in Hair Lingerie Tape Extensions, and this is now my preferred method of applying hair extensions. It is safe for the client’s natural hair strands and is made for extremely fine hair. After more than 16 years of wearing hair extensions, these ones far outperform everything I’ve ever tried.

I am fully committed to staying updated and continuously enhancing my skills with the latest products and techniques. I aim to use organic and sustainable hair products that nourish not only the hair – but also the body, mind, and soul.
Right now I’m working with ELL’s Holistic Beauty Bar that is a LA based a women-owned beauty brand based in Los Angeles (Hair Lingerie is also owned by a woman). ELL’s products are organic and promote hair growth. It feels great to support other women in the industry.

My goal is to make sure each client has a meaningful experience and leaves feeling more confident, enlightened, and beautiful.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
It’s always funny how hard it is to answer this question. When you live here, it’s like you forget to explore your own city.

I’d totally spend two days chilling at the beach, checking out Santa Monica, Venice, and Marina Del Rey.

First stop would be Santa Monica Pier, 3rd Street Promenade, and Main Street. There’s a cool Spanish spot called Manchego with amazing food, or Forma, a restaurant and cheese bar. Then we’d head to The Bungalow for drinks. We’d rent bikes and cruise Venice Beach, the boardwalk, and Abbot Kinney. There are tons of cool shops and restaurants there, and I love the whole vibe. In Marina Del Rey, we’d visit the seals, rent a paddle board, and maybe grab lunch at Cheesecake Factory with a view of the marina.

I would also go to Downown Los Angeles. There are a ton of fascinating things to see and discover. We’d go to The Broad Museum, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and the Last Bookstore. I enjoy the Grand Central Market for all different food options, ice cream at Little Damage, and drinks at the Perch rooftop. Maybe catch a basketball or ice hockey game at crypto arena. Arts District is also a total vibe!

We’d go to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and have lunch at Il Pastaio or Wally’s. I like to shop at the Century City Mall since they have so many stores. The Grove and the farmers market is also a must, especially during the holidays when they put up all their decorations!

I’d take them for a hike to the wisdom tree and/or Runyon Canyon, see the Griffith Observatory, and go horseback riding next to the Hollywood sign. I would also do a studio tour, go to an outdoor film at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, or visit Universal Studios.

Chateau Marmont, No Vacancy, Davey Wayne’s Good Times, Laurel Hardware, Delilah, Ysabel, and Bacari in Silverlake are a few of my favorite places. It was only recently that I learned that Kahuna Tiki in Valley Village hosts burlesque shows every Tuesday. It’s a ton of fun!

There’s just so many things to see and explore in this city and that is why I love it so much!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel incredibly grateful to have crossed paths with so many wonderful and loyal friends over the years. Each and every one of them has played a crucial role in shaping my journey and offering lots of support. Without their presence in my life, I wouldn’t be where I am today. I am especially thankful for the significant help I received from my dear friend Yukari Yokomizo during a particularly stressful period in my life. She kindly opened up her space to me, making me able to establish my professional clientele. Her referrals and ongoing support have been invaluable. Additionally, I am blessed to have a supportive community within my SR family, where I’ve found genuine joy, laughter, love, and support since 2019.

One book that has truly left a lasting impact on my life is “Atomic Habits” by James Clear. I find myself frequently discussing this book and urging others to give it a read or listen. It has completely transformed my perspective, teaching me to appreciate every step of the process, rather than thinking that I will become happy when I reach my goals. I now understand the importance of cherishing every step along the way.
