We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniella Uche-Oji and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniella, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
Giving up should never be an option. Sometimes you might feel like you’re not progressing though you’ve been doing something for a long time but, everyone has their own turn. When it’s your turn nothing and no one will be able to slow down your victory.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am trying to create a brand for myself that’ll allow me the flexibility of blending being an artist, designer and tech enthusiast. Growing up, there were three things I loved; Art, storytelling and computers. I found out about 3D Animation and VFX , studied that in college and then became a designer by day. My brand is built around using design to tell stories; This could be 2D, 3D, Motion and still design. I want to be the designer that comes up with out of the box designs that people will be intrigued by and people haven’t seen before.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I will take them to spots in Santa Monica, Venice and Malibu; In that order! Santa Monica for food, Venice for little buys and beach vibes and Malibu for relaxation.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God first! Without God you wouldn’t have even seen me as an option to Interview. I also want to give a shout out to my mentor; Mario Alcantara Monterio. I have had a lot of mentors in my journey especially from a program I joined in the year 2018 called Built by Girls; That program exposed me to the business side of being a creative.
