We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniella Villanueva and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daniella, how do you define success?
Over time I have realized real success is being genuinely happy, it’s not about how rich someone is or how famous they are. . Finding true happiness in any aspect of your life is true success in my opinion.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It has been 5 years and still to this day I can’t believe I have my very own business. That itself is something I am super proud of. Its mines and nobody can take that away from me! Has it been easy? Nope. Have I thought about quitting? Yep. But I am proud to also say that I’ve never gave up. After many years of trying to “figure it out”, I finally decided that I needed to invest in education. I have been fortunate to have worked with some very seasoned, talented, and humble photographers that I look up too! I want everyone to know that I do my best to provide an honest, fun, and memorable experience! I love working with so many different people that come from very different walks of life. I am so humbled that I get to share their truth and story thru my photography.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow! I have always loved hosting. Something about it is so refreshing and fun! First day I would let them take the time to settle in and get comfortable. Later that evening, for dinner I’d definitely be making a big home cooked welcome dinner! I love cooking. I always think ending the night with game night is fun! Next day, I would wake up and make a nice breakfast. It would most likely consist of eggs, bacon, pancakes, hashbrowns, and some orange juice! Later that day, I would go rent bikes at the beach and enjoy the fresh air with them, hopefully wed be there long enough to enjoy the sunset. The entire week I would be documenting along the way!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My whole life, I have been blessed to know love. My family has been there for me since the beginning and they play a very important role in my many successes in life. I am so thankful for them, my tribe of beautiful friends and my supportive boyfriend that is always pushing me to be better! I will forever be grateful for them. Few people have the privilege of having such amazing people in their corner and I couldn’t imagine this journey with out them.
I have right to to the photos.
