We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Cuccio and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Hi!  I have always wanted to start my own business but I wasn’t sure what that would be.  I went on my own journey. My parents have been in the beauty & nail business for 35+ years. I didn’t have an interest in nail products, but being that I went to beauty school + received my yoga instructor license, I wanted to merge beauty + wellness. I wanted to create products that made being feel beautiful from the inside out, which is where I believe beauty derives. I started by teaching yoga and became a Celebrity Yoga Instructor in Los Angeles, CA. My students started asking me what products I was using our sessions and how they could clean their yoga mats. I knew I was on to something… No one had a brand for yogis!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Sure!  I absolutely love helping spread self care and wellness to more and more people all over the world.  I truly and absolutely believe that it’s about taking mini moments throughout the day to find calm that make a difference in our life.  I’m a mom now and a CEO… a wife… a home owner…  Life can be stressful and overwhelming at times.  Even if you can’t make it to your yoga mat, there are ways to find calm throughout your day.  Building Cuccio Somatology has not been easy!  It’s been 5+ years in the making and we’re still growing and creating. I think the biggest tip I could give is to KEEP GOING. Just when you think you can’t go any further or feel stuck, another door opens. I have had goals that have taken me 5 years and now here we are! And now I have even bigger goals that I will achieve. Cuccio Somatology is a self care and wellness brand, which is more relevant and important today than ever. While at home, we can find mini moments of calm through our products. Some of our bestsellers include our Yogahhh Detox Bath, Milk Bath, Aura Mist, Yoga Mat Cleaner and our Muscle Fitness Balm.  All of those mini moments you can do from the comfort of your own home.  The feeling after a yoga class or after an amazing massage… Yup, that’s the feeling we’re aiming for. 🙂

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Mom and Dad, Tony and Roby Cuccio, for supporting my dreams.  Not everyone has such supportive parents and I feel incredibly grateful for that.

They started their business by selling on a stand on Venice Beach, CA in the early 80s.  I am inspired by them to create and grow Cuccio Somatology globally like they have with our family of Cuccio brands.  I am inspired to follow my dreams and continue to build something I love.
