We had the good fortune of connecting with Danting Li and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danting, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
As a Senior Graphic Designer and co-founder of SparksGlo, I believe design is not only a commercial tool but also a bridge that connects communities. Through our SparksGlo Real Estate Agent WordPress Website Template, we aim to empower individual real estate agents, especially small business owners and independent professionals, with accessible, high-quality digital infrastructure.

Many real estate websites are built for large agencies with substantial budgets, leaving independent agents at a disadvantage in building a professional online presence. Our template addresses this gap by providing an affordable, streamlined, and strategically designed solution tailored specifically for individual agents in the United States. This helps level the playing field by enabling independent professionals to present their listings clearly, build strong personal brands, and compete more effectively in the digital marketplace.

In addition, the template includes multilingual support in English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish. This feature promotes inclusivity by helping agents better serve diverse communities, including immigrant and multilingual populations who may face language barriers when navigating the housing market. By improving communication and accessibility, we contribute to more transparent and equitable real estate transactions.

At a broader level, SparksGlo’s work supports local economies. By equipping agents with professional digital tools, we help them grow their businesses, strengthen community relationships, and connect buyers and sellers more efficiently. Through thoughtful, inclusive design, our business contributes to digital accessibility, small business empowerment, and more inclusive community engagement in the real estate industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work explores the intersection of digital culture, imagination, and structured visual language. One of the mediums that sets me apart is my use of pixel art as a fine art expression rather than only a nostalgic or gaming aesthetic.

For example, my artwork Neon Dreamscape was showcased at the XV Florence Biennale 2025, one of the most internationally recognized contemporary art exhibitions. In this piece, I depict a futuristic world beneath a radiant moon, where stars shimmer and meteors streak across the sky. Futuristic cities rise atop surreal mountains, while aircraft and UFOs soar overhead, symbolizing humanity’s technological evolution and limitless ambition. I intentionally use colorful, square pixels across the canvas to construct the entire composition. Through this pixel-based structure, I translate a highly imaginative and futuristic vision into a disciplined, grid-based visual system. The contrast between rigid pixels and expansive cosmic imagery creates a unique tension that defines my artistic voice.

What sets me apart is how I merge graphic design thinking with fine art concepts. My background as a senior graphic designer trained me to value structure, clarity, and intentionality. I bring that same precision into my artwork. Every pixel is placed deliberately. Every color contrast is carefully considered. My work is not decorative; it is constructed.

My journey was not easy. I came to the United States ten years ago and began learning design from the ground up. Building a professional identity in a new country required resilience, continuous learning, and self-discipline. I refined my technical skills, developed conceptual depth, and consistently challenged myself to grow beyond commercial design into artistic exploration. Over time, persistence and dedication opened doors to international exhibitions and recognition.

The most important lesson I’ve learned is that limitations can become a signature. Pixel art, by nature, is restrictive and modular. Instead of seeing that as a constraint, I embraced it as a language. Constraints sharpen creativity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I would take them straight to the Mission District in San Francisco. Founded in 1776, it is the city’s oldest neighborhood, yet it feels vibrant and contemporary.

We would explore the colorful murals around Balmy Alley and Clarion Alley, where the streets feel like an open air gallery rooted in Latino culture and community history. Then we would enjoy some of the Mission’s incredible food, from authentic taquerias to some of the city’s newest and most creative restaurants.

We would relax at Dolores Park, take in the skyline views, and enjoy the lively atmosphere. For me, the Mission blends history, art, culture, and great food in a way that truly represents the spirit of San Francisco.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. Their unwavering support has been the foundation of my journey.

Ten years ago, I came to the United States to pursue my dream of becoming a designer. I started from scratch, learning fundamental design principles and techniques step by step, and gradually deepened my practice through years of hands-on experience and professional growth. The path was not always easy, especially building a career in a different country and culture. Throughout it all, my parents believed in me.

Their encouragement, trust, and emotional support gave me the courage to take risks, continue improving, and stay committed to my vision. Even from far away, they have stood behind every milestone and every challenge. I am deeply grateful for their constant belief in my dream. Any success I have achieved is inseparable from their love and support along the way.
