We had the good fortune of connecting with David Ifediba and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, what do you want people to remember about you?
I want to be remembered as the greatest Igbo man that ever lived. My Igbo tradition and culture has a slogan known as “Naija no dey carry last” this means that No matter the circumstance or situation we will always find a way to come out better than when we went in. This mantra has been important not only to my upbringing but to the traditions that I was raised with as a child. I am in the realms of education and real estate and balancing the two passions has been integral to my success thus far. I remain steadfast and humble toward my ultimate goal but ultimately yearn for the empowerment and improvement of all people that I come across.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a licensed realtor with a background in educational psychology, I am uniquely positioned to provide exceptional service to my clientele during their most significant transaction. My dedication to active listening and counseling in the school system has honed my skills in understanding my clients’ needs and emotions, allowing me to be there for them through every step of the real estate process.

My journey in the real estate business wasn’t without challenges. In September 2022, I faced overwhelming obstacles that almost led me to close my business and focus solely on graduate school. However, a pivotal moment occurred when I posted an Instagram reel, leading to the successful closure of my first deal of the year. This inspired me to embark on a social media journey and adopt the persona of “Deals with Dave,” which has since transformed my career.

In the early stages of my real estate journey, I battled feelings of inadequacy and imposter syndrome, compounded by a lack of support. Nevertheless, I triumphed over these obstacles by harnessing the power of social media, adopting intentionality in my actions, and finding my purpose in the process. My motivation is driven by creating a comfortable life for my family, both present and future, and providing them with a secure future through real estate.

The valuable lessons I have learned along the way have taught me to be resilient and steadfast in my endeavors. I have learned to tune out the noise and disregard the opinions of those who may doubt me, as they often turn into my biggest supporters once they witness my success. My true purpose and motivation lie in making my clients’ dreams come true and ensuring they feel like family throughout their real estate journey.

I am passionate and determined to assist my clients in the best way possible, and my ultimate goal is to help them find their dream home. As “Deals with Dave,” I strive to establish lasting relationships with my clients, making them feel supported and cherished throughout the entire process.

In summary, I am an empathetic and experienced realtor with a strong background in educational psychology, committed to providing unparalleled service to my clients. My journey has taught me the value of resilience, determination, and purpose, and I look forward to making a positive impact on my clients’ lives by turning their real estate dreams into reality.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the Kenneth Hahn Park/Culver City Stairs, Venice Beach, and a downtown LA Afrobeats party to really give them a versatile look of Los Angeles. LA offers so many amazing activities that I would have to consult with Yelp to run them through everything. As a lover of Afrobeats, I would take my clients to an Afrobeats event in order to truly have fun an

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shoutout my family and church communities. My parents, Paul and Nwanneka, have done an exceptional job in raising me and routinely push me to be the best I can be in all settings. Without them, I would not be where I am today nor have the trajectory of where I will be going. I would also like to honor my church communities. Both the St.Eugene Church community and Igbo Catholic Community, USA have been crucial to the growth of my faith and development as a young man. Without God, I cannot be who I am today and he always gets the ultimate shoutout from me.
