Meet David Schaefer | Singer Actor, International Model

We had the good fortune of connecting with David Schaefer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi David, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think authenticity and consistency and knowing that things take time. Accepting changes.
In my 15 years entertainment career I had to learn patience.
There is a saying if I remember right that something that looks like an overnight success needed 10 years working in the background.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m an actor singer songwriter and international model started my entertainment journey 2008 in disney pop band and a major record label. After my record deal ended I was gratefully being scouted signed to a top model agent in Austria and was internationally modeling for high fashion brands and commercials for over 10 years.

I think naturally I’m a person who doesn’t give up.

I was born with a heart defect close to dead I learned that we have to fight in life and can never give up to reach your goals and dreams.
Similar to the movie rocky he never gave up.
After being bullied in school and many successes and failures later I developed a very strong character and I try to also help others with my knowledge and experiences.
My life the beginning was not easy sick in hospitals due to my heart problems bullied in school constantly in fights later I beat up other bullies which was not good only me being frustrated compensating with my situation due to lots of painful childhood moments.
I had also beautiful moments in my childhood.
I think having a strong will and always hope can move mountains. From my experience my career was same as life a rollercoaster but all the beautiful, sad funny, uplifting moments is here for us I believe as human beings to learn and get closer to a better version of ourselves.
I’m proud I found the strength to never give up no matter how tough it was.
I hope everyone who reads this know that a situation is often temporary. Keep going always and push harder every day if you have too.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of my favorite places I would take my friend with me is santa monica pier in LA . I often went there to enjoy a nice drink or ice cream after I had some successes to celebrate and was just looking at the sea which was beautiful. Also what I love about LA is Runyon Canyon park in LA. I often went for a hike or run and enjoyed watching the beautiful view over the city. Many times I have met actor or model friends who were also running or walking up the hill.
I also like Hollywood blvd and walking over the walk of fame and keep dreaming to see your name on the stars. Kidding . Well life all is possible isn’t it. I never thought I would be one day on a men’s health cover and I was. Keep dreaming people.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I can clearly and gratefully say without so many believers in my path to name a few like my model agents, music mangers, music producers, mentors, acting agents, film directors photographers, friends, family i wouldn’t been able to experience all those memorable life moments and experiences .

I am forever grateful.
I wouldn’t been able to experience all those world travels meeting different cultures and learning from them.
They all helped me following my passion. 15 years in entertainment.
I was gratefully living in China, Malaysia, South Africa, Mexico, USA , Turkey , Italy Uk, Germany and many more beautiful places.
I know due to my strong character I was not always easy to handle but I thank them all for believing in me and sticking with me to this day.
