We had the good fortune of connecting with Dehai Hill and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dehai, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?

“I can’t pour from an empty cup”. So much of bedside nursing is rooted in selflessness and being a patient advocate but I am unable to care for my patients if I am not caring for myself first. Thus, I have begun implementing self care activities on my days off from the hospital. Most notably, hiking at Griffith Park.

Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community? What sets you apart from others?
What sets my brand apart from others is my desire to operate from a place of transparency to all my supporters. I always preach the message of being open and honest about where I am in life and highlighting the good as well as the bad. I am most proud of the risks that I have taken in life such as moving to LA and getting the opportunity to be on the spin-off of a hit reality show.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to see the Hollywood sign because I feel like that’s a hallmark of any LA visit. I would then take them down to laguna to explore the beautiful clean pacific. We would definitely hit up one of my favorite places in the city like West Hollywood. To explore some of the many bars & clubs in that area. Lastly, head over to rodeo drive and indulge in some of the high end designer boutiques and shops.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Mike G. Riggins has been such a great mentor to me and helped guide me through everything social media related and finding my footing in the entertainment industry. For instance, from helping me secure a studio location for a photo shoot to encouraging me to be confident in front of the cameras. I truly owe a large part of my knowledge base to him.
