We had the good fortune of connecting with Deionna Gipson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deionna, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I started my own business because I wanted output to equal input. I wanted my reward to match my work ethic. I know that I work best autonomously and my creativity can spark up at any given time not just between 9 and 5. I decided to become an entrepreneur so that I never have to worry about a time clock, a schedule, a performance evaluation or being micromanaged again. I love using my gifts to help others and not being confined to an annual 3% increase after each amazing year in business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
As a business coach and strategist I make starting a business extremely easy to navigate. I have become a one stop shop for clients to stay compliant with local, state and federal business laws . In addition; I keep them informed of tax deadlines and educate my clients on building business credit and accessing capital. I’ve mastered a streamlined process that allows my clients to focus on their talents and passions while I cover everything else from A-Z.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spots in LA are pretty eclectic! I love A great work out at Iron Addicts Gym in Signal Hill followed by Ra Yoga for a good stretch and sweat. My favorite tea spot Tastea is a must after yoga.

The strand in Manhattan Beach is a perfect location for a beach day and a visit to the merciless sand dunes.

I also love Knotts Berry Farm for a great amusement park day but for real thrill seeking Six Flags Magic Mountain is a must.

Universal City Walk and Downtown Disney always yield great experiences and memories.

Runyon Canyon and the Culver City stairs have some of the best views in town.

Concerts at the Hollywood Bowl are magical every single time.

When going for a night on the town The District in LA never disappoints. The Outlet LA’s Jazz and RnB nights are a vibe.

Nice Eateries in LA are endless, my personal favorites are Mama Por Dios, Boa, Catch and Lawrys.

I do Love a few hidden gems in Cerritos like Nine for delicious seafood boils and La Tavolata for authentic Italian cuisine.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow! Where do I start? I have An amazing support team. My beautiful daughters Brooke and Bailey motivate me every single day! My amazing social media manager Brittany Denise, my mother, my cousin Diamond, my good friends Andrea Love and Bree and sorority sister Erinn who always help where it’s needed, my “manager”cousin LaVada that always has my back, my accountability corner which includes my sorority sister Darlene and dear cousin Fefe and business colleagues Andrea B. and Telly. Last but not least my Aunt Bo, Miss Wilma, Prophet Andre and Prophet Darnell who keep me grounded spiritually.
