We had the good fortune of connecting with Demeshia “Jordan” Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Demeshia “Jordan”, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I desired to pursue an Artistic/ Creative Career, Because I am able to express myself in multiple ways. I am able to bring my ideas to life. I have many talents that God has blessed me with, that I am able to show more in different ways . Being a Fashion Stylists I am able to express my self thur Color, Clothing, Patterns, Textiles & setting my own treads & setting my own styles.
I can think outside the box & bring any “Normal” and “Plain” outfit to life.
One of my many talents is i am dancers/chorographer and being able to express myself Thur dance & performing arts.
And I am also an Author & Poetic. No matter which talent /passion/career I am pursuing i know i will succussed with God’s help. But my favorite of them all is expressing my self thur clothing. Sometime as people we may loss own selfies and forget that beauty comes from the inside out. Clothing does not make the man. The man or women makes the outfit. You have to have confident in your self 1st, Then the outfit just adds the finishing touches & is the cherry on top.
And that is the truth.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Fashion is my true passion. I have been pursing Fashion seen i was a little girl. I have been creating, sewing by hand, and using a sewing machine to create my clothing. I use to create Jean Purses out of real jeans, and i handmade jewelry , and was creative with my outfits. I have always choose to create & design my own clothing. Rather that’s my sweet Grandmother giving me the tassels off her curtains or buying me a sweater or dress that i may not ready want to wear. But I did not let that stop me from wearing it. I just would create, cut up, and change different parts of the sweater, dress, or clothing to my liking.

In high school I would cut up and design t-shirts and students would ask me to create and personalizes their t-shirts and shoes with designs and paint and sometimes they would say ” Just be your creative self and do what you think i would like”. So I would be creative and do my own thing and they loved it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If one of my good friends was to visit me I would take them to some of the Famous Local Black own Coffee Shops. Where there are always good vibes. Where they have Live Music, Poetic/ Open Mic Night. We would of course visit the Beach where we can relax and feel the LA sunshine on our face and feel the LA breeze.
I feel like there is always something to do no matter the area. From Inglewood to Malibu, to Hollywood to San Diego, to Downtown LA, To Santa Monica to West Hollywood. To Long Beach to Huntington Beach. We would visit all the Beaches. And go To Rodeo Drive.
And can not forget Compton and South Central either. Hey It’s apart of me. And I can not be afraid of where i come from. But where ever you going in LA you are guaranteed to have a good time.
