We had the good fortune of connecting with Derek Jameson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Derek, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
I built my business around the service of humanity. Every thought, action, and creation must reflect the relationships between our brothers and sisters of the world. We are here to teach, grow, and to love. My work helps people break cycles and patterns, connect to spirit and intuition, and harmonize the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies. If we can reach one person and shift their vibration, they carry that energy into all other encounters and it becomes a domino effect. It starts with one. I awaken the dormant power within each client and community to stand in their own light and life purpose.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My focus when working with a client is to infuse the spirit back into the picture. As a society, many have disconnected from their own spirit because of old belief systems and paradigms. We must activate and nurture the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies in order to maintain a harmonious life. My program is geared toward assessing these 4 areas and applying the necessary tools that will maintain health and wellness within them. By connecting up to my higher guidance, I am able to assess what a client needs in the present moment to provide the best and most accurate service.

My coaching work, in combination with past life hypnosis regression, is able to reach into the core of what a client is moving through so that we may understand it, heal it, and ultimately use it as wisdom.

I have been able to work with clients ranging from teachers, lawyers, and business owners to well known names in the entertainment business. This has truly come from me honoring what my soul was calling for as a life path profession. I had to trust that it was time to transition from the fitness world I had built around me and enter into spiritual coaching. It can be a scary thing to switch gears and get on the path that your heart is asking for. However, I would never turn back. It was the best decision I have ever made. I feel alive everyday. I feel that I get to be of service to my highest capability because I honored what was right for me without being deterred from it.

The purpose behind what I do is to help the world reclaim its power. That starts with the individual reclaiming theirs. We must BE love in order to experience love in this world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First of all I would probably take them to the Grove and Farmer’s Market on 3rd for some Banana Leaf. They’ve got some of the best Nasi Goreng. It’s awesome for eating outdoors and being a part of a historic energy. Then you can walk around with a coffee through the main drag and go shopping or just enjoy the fountains.

The next day or two would be great to hit Malibu. It’s nice to get down the beach where there is less people and you can relax after a nice brunch at Gladstone’s. They have some great brunch items and you can catch dolphins swimming too! They have a semi private beach with less people and you can just enjoy the ocean and sunshine.

It’s also good to get out of the immediate Los Angeles area and head out to Big Bear. It’s not far and it’s amazing to be next to the water and in the mountains. Then when you’re hungry you can go down to the Village and go to this great Thai restaurant they have there. They always give you way more than enough food, so you can share with your mates. During the winter there’s plenty of snow activities to do too. I usually pick up a new crystal from the shop they have there to add to my healing collection.

One of my favorite things to do is hit up the Natural History Museum. They have an amazing event called First Fridays with DJ’s and artists. If you drink you can grab a drink and just peruse the old dinosaur bones. It’s quite special to go with friends.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I dedicate this Shoutout to music artist Tori Amos. When I was a teenager I was bullied and thus very depressed. I really couldn’t bring myself to communicate my thoughts and feelings with anyone. One night I happened to catch a live performance of Tori Amos on MTV Unplugged and in the moment I knew what I was supposed to do. That thing was music. So, I began playing the piano, writing, and singing. She is the goddess energy that woke me up to what would become my life purpose. To bring healing and understanding to all others.
