We had the good fortune of connecting with Dérly Barajas and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dérly, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I want people to feel powerful when using my products. My overall message is for people to love what they have and truly love themselves.
What should our readers know about your business?
My business is all bout empowering YOU to become great and never give up. I want my business to be a community. I’m proud that my business allows people to express themselves and represent something bigger. It all started with an idea. I’ve been on my own journey to achieve self-love and I know I’m not alone. I currently make all of my items at home. It’s not easy but it’s fun being able to have full control of my own work. One important lesson I’ve learned is to be patient and stay consistent. I want the world to know that my brand is for all. When you use my products you’re evolving even if it’s a small step. You’re going in the right direction. Our motto is “Together were imperfectly perfect.”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them on a hike/walk to talk and enjoy nature. Then for brunch, I would take them to the Vegan Joint, and recommend them to get the tropical pancakes. Sometimes it’s nice to enjoy the outdoors and experience new things. I would definitely check out or joining a fitness dance class. It might be challenging but the support is amazing.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a shoutout to the people that are trying to better their lives. Anybody out there in the world that’s trying, I’m proud of you. All of you inspire me to keep developing my craft and make products that you will love. We all go through different journeys in our life but the journey of self-love is a mutual one and it’s heavily respected.
