We had the good fortune of connecting with Diamond Dez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diamond, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success is something like a ladder. As long as you’re climbing new heights, you are indeed achieving success.
Success looks different for everyone & often takes time! Just make sure to never take that word away from yourself…We all won’t be billionaires but that doesn’t mean we aren’t successful.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am most proud to be a one of a kind artist, no gimmicks, whether I’m writing music about good or bad times, I am always honest about my experiences in my music. It excites me to be able to share my music with music lovers, especially live! I worked hard to build my online presence over the years, as well as my public reputation in the public eye by networking & performing! It is never an easy task, it takes a lot of drive, work ethic and consistency because the music industry is definitely competitive as well as an investment of time, money and talent. I’ve learned an artist never has to let anyone be in control of the creative process or image…BUT humility is needed because it takes a team! I want the world to know that I am a person with a heart for them before I am an artist. I am here to love others & be an artist that understands struggle. I want to be someone who is known for being a pillar for the youth.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Due to Covid I haven’t been able to visit all the spots in LA since I moved to LA during Covid…but I would definitely hit up some sushi & Thai joints around Santa Clarita & go on some cool adventures hiking around…I get invited to the Kandy Pens mansion all the time in Beverly Hills, they have some cool pool parties, we’d probably hit that spot up for sure! I love hitting up the downtown fashion district to shop, eat and drink so we’d definitely do that too! I love live events so we’d definitely have to catch a live dj & dance the night away.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
