We had the good fortune of connecting with Diion Hart and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diion, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
People think the music industry is about making music, when in reality it’s about being an entrepreneur of multiple businesses at once. (On a successful level ) your ability to multi task and task delegate will heavily dictate your how far you go. while the music is an important factor it’s not the determining one.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
In regards to my art, I am most proud of my self sufficiency and competence and multiple levels. I learned how to sit in every seat and maneuver towards a finished product with minimal help. The power that this gave to me, is when I do outsource things and have people assisting me the language and respect level is different when you know what you are talking about.

to get to this point, It was not easy. There was lots of frustration and self doubt initially. I don’t think anything worth having or achieving in this life is easy but so worth it in the long run. I overcame the challenges by continuously showing up for myself and reminding myself of what all the previous versions of me sacrificed so that the present version of me could be possible. When I think about it as a baton passing I realize it’s not all about me and I get out of my feelings.

The greatest lessons I learned along the way are the 4 agreements. “Don’t take anything personal, don’t make any assumptions, Be impeccable with your word, and always do your best” In that order!

If there was something I wanted the world to know about my brand its that. I am so special that I’m not special at all. Life isn’t rocket science. The same rules apply to every field and there are actionable steps and mindsets that will guarantee you the life you want and deserve. also that my brand is here as a beacon to guide and inform others on their way to greatness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
favorite spots in the city for a week long trip. Well the first is BBQ and hanging out by a rooftop pool to talk and decompress as well as prepare for the week.

Next would be a nice hike to a mountain top for an overview of the city. There are many to choose from (Runyon, wisdom tree, Griffith observatory, topanga hills etc.)

followed by brunch or lunch in West Hollywood.

A few days in we can do tourist things like universal, art museums and something fun at night like bowling, pool or hit a nice lounge.

If my guest is into partying we can go to one of the nights or a day party in the summer.

to close the week we would more than likely end up back by the pool or beach reflect on the trip, life and things to come.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shout out to Brian Jackson and the 1500 sound academy for all of their continued support in my success! I’m eternally grateful!
