We had the good fortune of connecting with Dina Renée and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dina, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
To me, success is being able to live in your truth and create from a place that’s honest. It’s waking up every day knowing you didn’t give up on yourself—even when it was hard. Success isn’t just numbers or followers; it’s impact. If something I create helps someone feel seen, less alone, or inspired to keep going—that’s success to me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My music is what I like to call empowerment pop. I want to help people — especially those going through breakups — know they aren’t alone and that they can rise from the heartache.

I got here after leaving my hometown in Tennessee on a whim after college. I had just lost my closest friend to domestic gun violence, and my mom was in remission from cancer at the time — that really shook me to my core. It made me realize that life is short and I needed to finally pursue the thing I had always wanted to do: music. So I took a leap of faith, trusting it would all work out.

It hasn’t always been easy. I’ve always been a hard worker and have juggled different avenues of income at once to keep going and support my dream. Along the way, I’ve learned that consistency and staying true to yourself matter more than immediate results.

Ultimately, what I want the world to know about me and my brand is that my journey is about turning pain into power — that no matter what life throws at you, it’s possible to glow up and come out stronger, more confident, and more yourself than ever.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d pick them up in my pink convertible bug and hand them a microphone — because all my friends love to sing like me, and of course I have karaoke in my car! I’d have a gift bag ready for them, filled with new designer clothes — definitely a bikini — and we’d head straight to Malibu for a beach day.

After that, we’d come back to Hollywood and stop by Chateau Marmont for dinner. I’d make sure they stayed at The Hollywood Roosevelt — the pool is iconic and Marilyn Monroe used to live there — and I live just two blocks away, so we’d be neighbors for the week.

At night, I’d take them to all the best karaoke spots I host: Surly Goat, Zero Lounge, Jax’s Studio City, Velvet Martini Lounge — a different scene every night, with amazing, supportive, and fun friends.

We’d have dinner at La Bohème (it’s gorgeous and the food is always amazing), a stop at The Abbey (because it’s iconic and the vibe is always fun), and of course, I’d get them the full LA experience: tickets to a red carpet event or a movie premiere.

To top it off, I’d have hair and makeup artists come over to glam them up so they’d really feel like a star for the week. It would be the ultimate best-friend adventure, full of music, fun, and a taste of everything that makes LA exciting and unforgettable

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My older sister, who I always looked up to — she was a musical prodigy growing up and inspired me so much. My high school acting teacher, who helped me realize it’s okay to step out of my comfort zone and even feel embarrassed sometimes — that’s part of growing. Mariah Carey, who I loved to emulate as a kid. And Britney Spears, who made me believe it was possible since we share similar voices and small southern-town roots.
