We had the good fortune of connecting with Dom Venice and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dom, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Control of my time and location freedom. Growing up I hated seeing me and my fam worship an alarm clock and not be able to just travel any day we wanted.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’ve built my own record label Buy In independently since 2019. But I was just 20 at that time when I started it, so since then I’ve been learning a lot of the financial wisdoms needed to grow a company. It’s been a first generation experience for me to create my own company. I’ve been learning things like how to use credit as a tool, and what roles to outsource.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Saint Louis we hitting Imo’s for food, First Watch for a fresh drink, and the Delmar Loop to hangout. When I’m in LA we’d hit Jon and Vinny’s for Italian food, Erewhon for something gourmet to drink, and Redondo Beach for some coastal hanging out.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
God, my family, and St. Louis, Missouri.
