We had the good fortune of connecting with Douglas Wells and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Douglas, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
Never stop learning and never give up… failures bring wisdom, which breeds success.
What should our readers know about your business?
I would say that nothing in business, or life in general, is easy. Persistence and a short memory have always served me well. Being able to let go of the failures and reinventing oneself when needed. I like to say I’m not your typical realtor. It’s not a numbers game to me, as it is to many. I believe in relationships and nurturing the needs of each individual client. I want you as a client for life, hopefully even developing a friendship.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
There is so much to show someone in LA. Of course the beaches, palisades park is a favorite of mine. A day downtown; the last bookstore, Chinatown, the fashion district. Venturing into the mountains for a day to get out of the city. The Getty is a must… Culinarily:there are so many amazing restaurants; Nobu, the ivy, soho house… but I like a small dive, My 2 cents. This list could go on for days.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many people that deserve to be shouted out but my hard working, salt of the earth grandfathers and my mother (who as always supported me in all I do).
