Meet Dr. Anastasia Lander | Chiropractor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Anastasia Lander and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Anastasia, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
Most people think chiropractic care is only about back pain or recovery after car accidents, but it’s so much more than that. Chiropractors work with the spine to support the nervous system, which is the body’s main communication network. When the spine is properly aligned, the nervous system can send signals more effectively, helping the entire body—muscles, organs, skin, and more—function at its best. Chiropractic care isn’t just for adults or pain relief; it can benefit people of all ages, from infants to seniors, by supporting overall health and wellness.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
A chiropractor truly changed my life. Before this career, I was working as a broker on Wall Street and, like many people, I thought chiropractic was only for back pain or car accidents. That belief shifted when a chiropractor was able to help my daughter with chronic health issues. This was long before the days of Google and easy online research, so it felt like a whole new world was being opened to me.
It took me years—and a leap of faith—to go back to school and become a chiropractor, but it has been the best decision of my life. Over the past 18 years, I’ve had the privilege of watching families experience real, lasting changes in their health. What sets us apart is that we don’t just treat symptoms—we help people understand how the nervous system and spine affect overall wellness, from kids to adults.
The journey hasn’t always been easy. Running a business and balancing family life comes with challenges, but those experiences taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying true to my mission. I’m most proud of the trust families place in us and the fact that our office has become a safe, welcoming space where people feel cared for, seen, and supported.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know, it’s this: chiropractic care is about much more than pain relief. It’s about unlocking the body’s potential to heal, grow, and thrive—and I’m grateful every day to be a part of that journey for my patients.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I absolutely love Orange County. If my best friend was visiting, I’d want to give them the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and great food.
Day One: We’d start with a refreshing hike around Laguna Lake. After a good workout, of course, I’d bring them by my office, Lander Chiropractic, for an adjustment—it’s the best way to kick off a week of fun! Then we’d treat ourselves to a delicious brunch at one of the many local spots in Brea.
Day Two: A full beach day in Newport! We’d begin with kayaking at the Newport Dunes, then relax on the sand soaking up the sun. No Orange County trip would be complete without dinner at my favorite Italian restaurant, Roman Cucina, in Fullerton. Their gluten-free pasta is incredible, and the sauces are absolutely to die for.
Day Three & Beyond: The rest of the week would be all about exploring the unique character of Orange County. I’d take them to Downtown Fullerton for live music and a fun night out, spend an afternoon strolling through Old Towne Orange for antique shopping and coffee, and of course, catch a stunning sunset at Crystal Cove. By the end of the week, they’d have a true taste of what makes Orange County so special to me.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to take a moment to dedicate this to my team. Our office is truly special—not because of the space itself, but because of the incredible people who make it what it is. Each of our doctors is passionate, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to serving our community.
First and foremost, there is my husband, Dr. James Lander. He is not only my best friend and business partner but also the most genuine and inspiring person I know.
Dr. Hailey Danko has been part of our team for over three years, though our connection goes back even further—she first came to us as a patient before pursuing her chiropractic degree. Watching her grow into such a compassionate and skilled doctor has been a joy, and our patients adore her.
Dr. Courtney Dean joined us last year, and she has been the perfect addition to our team. With her background in dance and sports, along with her enthusiasm and energy for chiropractic, she brings a unique perspective that rounds us out beautifully.
Together, I feel like we make every day feel less like “work” and more like being part of a team with a shared mission: helping our patients achieve their health goals.
