We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Calvin Bonds and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Calvin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My calling in life is to help people. I knew that to successfully do that to the extent that I wanted to be effective, I had to start my own business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am proud to say that as an entrepreneur I work in three areas:

*Leadership
*Entertainment Professional
*Global Enterprise Entrepreneur

1. As a Leadership Consultant, I work with different organizations and individuals in the areas of coaching, training, seminars, workshops, etc. with topics that include but are not limited to the following:

-Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
-Leadership
-Teamwork
-Organizational Change
-Conflict Resolution
-Etc. (All leadership topics)

2. As an Entertainment Professional I have done and I am doing the following:

-Publicist for Oscar nominated films, where our clients have acquired a total of 4 Oscars. (www.londonflair.com)
-Acting
-Modeling
-Singing
-Writing

3. As a Global Enterprise Entrepreneur, I am into social justice and global empowerment. I have a platform called Global Employment Workforce (www.globalemploymentworkforce.com), where we provide the following to individuals on a global level:

-Jobs
-Training
-Access to funding
-Global Networking
-Etc.

The aforementioned accomplishments are because of my inspirations (God, my mom, and a host of others) encouraging me to accomplish the following:

-Doctorate in Organizational Leadership (Pepperdine University)
-Master’s in Education
-Master’s in Business Administration
-Bachelor’s in English and Music

-Multiple certifications (DiSC, etc.)
-Acting and modeling classes
-Opera training
-Etc.

Lessons I’ve learned along the way are:

-Do what makes you happy
-Why not you?
-Your barriers can become bridges to help others going through the same thing get across
-Forgiveness and healing are what will help you to get over things
-Let people go
-If they want to walk away, let them walk away
-Love yourself so that you can love (help) others in the right way at maximum capacity
-Etc.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, all credit goes to God. It was God who put the will in me to do, as well as, the direction to get it done. My mom also played a major part in who I am today. As a single mother, she raised three boys. She is one of the strongest people I know. For her sacrifices, I am forever grateful.
