We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Cassandra Lenza and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dr. Cassandra, how do you think about risk?
I would attribute my ability to handle risk as my big driver for success in business and in life. In business, many of my bigger decisions have been based on intuition and an “idea.” I live by the idea that I would rather look back and say “I tried it” than regret not trying.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Healing on Hudson, is a group practice of licensed therapists specialized in the treatment of eating disorders, body image, anxiety and depression. Our business model rests on the idea that therapy can be approachable, warm, engaging. sometimes even fun! Our two locations in New Jersey are serene spaces for healing, and we aim to make therapy not taboo, but something everyone can attain should they need it.

Healing on Hudson experienced great growth over the last four years, particularly due to the mental health crisis related to the pandemic. It has been difficult at times to keep up with the volume of people seeking help, especially for food and body image related disorders. Through a lot of hard work, interviewing and vetting candidates, I have luckily found a team of amazing therapists to work with. We pride ourselves on being true “experts” with extensive training and work experience, and that’s what sets us apart from other group practices in our area.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We have two locations in New Jersey- one by the city and one at the beach

New Jersey is the best location for a weeklong trip in my humble opinion.

Our first location is in Hoboken. an amazing community right outside New York City. I’ve managed to live all over NYC and NJ, and the views of the NYC skyline from the Hoboken waterfront are the best around. To eat, we love Antique Bar, Elysian Cafe, and Dino and Harry’s Steakhouse, but you can’t go wrong with any of our local spots.

To stay, a book a night at the W or my favorite boutique hotel, The George, in neighboring Montclair. If you come to

NJ- make the beach a must on your itinerary and come visit our second location in Manasquan. Manasquan is the ultimate beach town with the small town USA feel we all love. Watch the year-round surfers, browse the cute downtown shops, and end your trip at Squan Tavern for the best pizza around!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
