Meet Dr. Jedediah Huss | Implant Surgeon & Cosmetic Dentist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Jedediah Huss and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Jedediah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I felt I had so much more to give and my talent wasn’t being properly utilized and was just wasting away. I truly thought that by starting my own dental continuing education company that I could impact and help more patients through teaching their dentists to become their best self and elevate their surgical skills and all levels of their dentistry to the highest levels.

What should our readers know about your business?
Restored Smiles is my continued dental education company that strives to teach clinical excellence within implant dentistry and to turn knowledge into action in the everyday dental practice. There is a strong focus on the surgical placement of dental implants via didactic courses with hands on exercises along with real live patient surgery.
I try my best to infuse my dental implant passion, excitement, knowledge, and experience with all in which I teach and try to best serve individual needs of the doctors I teach and to set them on a pathway to predictable and successful implant placement.
Something that sets us apart is our relatability to those in which we teach and our continued mentorship where any of our Restored Smiles Alumni can call, text, or FaceTime me anytime they need to review a case, have a complication, and need some additional insight. We see every attending doctor as a life long relationship and their success is our success. Lots of hard work, dedication, and life long learning helped myself get to this point and the learning is never ending. Nothing comes easy and there are never short cuts to success. You have to believe in yourself or no one else will. He doesn’t hurt to have some others that support you and help encourage your ambitions.
I would love the world to know our genuine love for those in which we teach and the career changing courses we have that have permanently changed our attending doctors careers for the better. It has been so rewarding and humbling to see the amazing impact we have had in the lives and careers of the doctors we have taught. Whether the doctors are fresh out of dental school and they hit the ground running with success or they are near retirement and our courses relight their love of dentistry again and they push their retirement out and are more productive, work less, and enjoy their work more than ever – our impact on those we teach can be profound if they come with a mindset to learn and grow.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some great places to visit would be a Football games at SoFi or catch a Laker or Clipper games, or maybe a Dodger’s game. We would definitely have to hit up some good Sushi places and get some amazing ice cream at Salt and Straw (best flavor is the Salted Carmel). We might check out Malibu and some beaches as well as go to Restored Smiles Ranch and do some dirt biking.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout goes to my loving wife Erin Huss for her amazing support she has given me and care of our 5 children as I am on the road often to work and teach to help better the careers and lives of my fellow dentists. I would also like to sent love out to my team that makes our success possible and for the amazing doctors that have taken so many of our courses and have continued to support myself and our team over the years. I have truly made so many life long friends as I have taught doctors throughout the globe.
