Meet Dr. Laleh Mehrrafiee | Cosmetic Dentist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Laleh Mehrrafiee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Laleh, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As a dentist, my primary motivation has always been to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives. Starting my own business allowed me to extend that impact beyond individual patient interactions. I wanted to create a space where I could innovate, create beautiful smiles, and share my knowledge on a larger scale. The journey required balancing my dental expertise with entrepreneurial skills. The satisfaction of helping more people achieve their dream smiles has been incredibly rewarding.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have been a cosmetic dentist for over a decade. I believe in a conservative approach in achieving your dream smile. My expertise is minimal and no prep veneers, meaning we can achieve a beautiful smile with maximum tooth preservation.
Before opening my own practice, I worked with mentors and other dentists to really learn the ins and outs of the business side of dentistry. It definitely wasn’t easy, but I had an amazing team around me that pushed me.
What I’ve learned along the way is that there will always be challenges in the path of success. You have to maintain your course and understand that failure is not an option.
I’m excited for the world to see learn about the amazing innovations in dentistry. My team and I have been advocates for conservative methods in dentistry. I am so proud to pave the way and be a pioneer in minimal and no prep veneers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I’d plan a week that captures the essence of Southern California, blending the scenic beauty, diverse culture, and incredible food of Orange County and Los Angeles.
We’d start the mornings with some of the best brunch spots, like Zinc Cafe in Laguna Beach for a laid-back vibe or Republique in Los Angeles for a trendy, bustling brunch scene. To soak up some culture, we’d visit The Getty Center for its breathtaking views and art collection, and spend an afternoon at The Broad museum downtown for a modern art experience.
A beach day would be essential, so we’d head to Crystal Cove State Park in Newport Beach, where we could relax by the water, explore tide pools, and grab a meal at the historic Beachcomber Cafe. For a luxury shopping and spa day, we’d go to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, followed by a spa session at Montage Laguna Beach.
In the evenings, I’d take my friend to iconic dining spots. We’d enjoy dinner at Nobu Malibu for sushi with ocean views, Bestia in Downtown LA for a creative Italian experience, and The Ranch in Anaheim for a taste of local steakhouse fare. For some nightlife, The Rooftop Lounge in Laguna Beach offers amazing sunset views, and EP & LP in West Hollywood is a great spot for rooftop cocktails and a lively atmosphere.
For a touch of adventure, we’d do a hike at Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles or Top of the World in Laguna Beach for panoramic views. A food tour in the Arts District of LA would let us sample dishes from various trendy spots, and on the last day, we’d enjoy a sunset dinner at Geoffrey’s Malibu, overlooking the coast, for a relaxing end to the trip.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank my family who have always instilled so much confidence in me and helped me believe that any dream is possible. Also my amazing husband who is my biggest supporter and has believed in me no matter what.
