Meet Dr. Misha Kouzeh | Award-Winning Entrepreneur, Marketer & Lecturer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Misha Kouzeh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Misha, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The key to the success of my brand lies in leveraging digital media as a powerful force for social good. I believe technology, particularly AI, has the potential to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges, from addressing inequality to improving access to education, nutrition, and healthcare. At its core, my work is driven by the belief that digital media should go beyond engagement metrics and sales—it should create meaningful, positive impact.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business, Tech Makes History, is focused on purpose-driven marketing that connects brands with their audiences in meaningful ways. What sets us apart is our ability to combine emerging technologies, like AI, with authentic storytelling to create campaigns that are not just innovative but also deeply aligned with a brand’s mission and values. We don’t just focus on visibility; we focus on impact.
Over the past decade, I’ve had the privilege of working with organizations such as Coca-Cola, Unilever, and the United Nations’ World Health Organization, as well as academic institutions like the University of Southern California, University of California Los Angeles, and Cal State Universities. Through these experiences, I’ve honed the ability to leverage marketing, social impact, and education to drive positive change for purpose-driven brands. Whether amplifying a global brand’s sustainability efforts or empowering a local business to connect authentically with its audience, these collaborations have been some of my proudest achievements.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t always easy. Building credibility, refining services, and staying resilient in the face of uncertainty were some of the challenges I faced in starting and growing Tech Makes History. I learned to overcome these hurdles by adapting to change, seeking out mentors, and staying focused on the bigger picture. My education, which includes a Doctorate in Education from USC and master’s degrees in Marketing Management and Nutrition & Health, provided a strong foundation for navigating these complexities.
Along the way, I’ve realized the importance of listening—listening to clients, data, and my own instincts. Working with clients across industries, from Unilever to emerging medical and nutrition technology companies, taught me that success isn’t just about trends but about understanding people and creating value in ways that align with a brand’s true purpose.
What I want the world to know about Tech Makes History is that we’re here to help brands make their mark—not just by standing out but by standing for something. Our work is about shaping stories that inspire action and create lasting impact. As a consultant, educator, and speaker, I am committed to leveraging my expertise to empower individuals and organizations to use digital media as a force for good. Whether collaborating with youth or C-suite executives, I believe in driving meaningful change, one story at a time.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For a week-long visit, mornings would start with scenic hikes or beach walks, followed by nutritious breakfasts like smoothie bowls or avocado toast. Lunch would feature vibrant, plant-forward dishes like grain bowls or Mediterranean spreads. Afternoons would dive into LA’s rich culture—art exhibits, markets, or neighborhood tours—while dinners would highlight global flavors, such as grilled fish with seasonal veggies or lentil curry. Evenings would be for yoga, live music, or unwinding over herbal tea, balancing wellness and culture in true LA style.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my family, mentors, colleagues, clients, professors, and students in the classroom. Their support, trust, and encouragement have been invaluable, each playing a meaningful role in my growth and journey
