We had the good fortune of connecting with Dylan James and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dylan, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have learned to weigh risk. Often times, something seems risky only because I do not know enough about it. After doing research on something that I used to think was risk, I no longer have that opinion.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It certainly was not easy to get to where I am today. I think it’s incredibly important to keep an open mind and have a “can do” attitude. That will get you far in life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I enjoy photographing people as well as being photographed. That can be done anywhere! That is the great part about it. I wouldn’t say that I have any specific part of the world that I would like to show someone. Often times, I just see something and I literally take a moment to take it all in. I think we all should do that when these opportunities arise.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have certainly learned a lot from the book: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. That book has gotten me to think outside the box several times.
