We had the good fortune of connecting with Eddie Grigorian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eddie, what’s the most difficult decision you’ve ever had to make?
Leaving a company who supported me and provided comfort. I took a huge risk starting my own business, as I took my experience and made it my own. From hustling for your clients, creating contracts from scratch, and purchasing liability insurance just to be able to work one event. I did not know when my next event would be, but had the faith that if I put my heart into my own business it would be successful. It began to grow each week and I separated myself from the competition because of the premium service I offer, along with making each client feel special regardless of the event.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Starting a Bartending business in Los Angeles may sound simple, but it seems like everyone knowns how to pour a drink. I take pride in getting to know each client and offer 24/7 service and always being available to make I meet all of their needs. It is not about a hiring a bartender, it is about the experience when you hire from Classic21 Bartending. You always get me and someone who just shows up 15 mins prior and pours a drink. It is about showing up an hour prior if not earlier to setup, providing all of the garnishes, cups, mixers, straws, and napkins or anything else needed. You have one chance to make sure everything is perfect, no excuses. The premium service is at another level like no other. The minute I arrive I do not stop until the event is over. If you want a bartender to stand behind a bar half the night, I am not the one for you, I hustle throughout the event, cleaning, picking up trash, refilling drinks without anyone having to leave their conversation and always remembering what each person is drinking. It also helps, that I can make a great old fashioned and martini.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Too often everyone is trying to escape Los Angeles, especially if you are local resident. There is so much to do and see in Los Angeles. You spend a lifetime and not see or experience everything. No where else can you hike the trials of the Hollywood Hills and visit Griffith Observatory in the morning. Enjoy a street taco at for lunch and head to the Santa Monica Pier for the sunset. You have it all from sporting events, theme parks, restaurants, and entertainment. Los Angeles embraces all cultures and has something for everyone to enjoy.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Chef Alexis Kemp from So Divine Catering has taught me so much about the event business and what it takes to succeed. I have learned to know my self-worth and most importantly to not take it personally when a client does not use your services. I has taught me when to say “no” and not every client is a perfect for you. She continues to motivate me daily and grow my business.
