We had the good fortune of connecting with EDDIE SATURN and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi EDDIE, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
RISK IS WATER! I think if you are going to get what you want out of life, truly truly, then you must risk to get it. Things that are laid out are fine and you can live a happy life following the laid out things BUT to get the life you dream of, no matter what the dream is, you have to go off the tracks which is a huge risk. Even something small like getting the attention of a person you’re interested in takes risk.

Risk put me in LA. I left Massachusetts, my girlfriend, a well paying job, certainty to drive 3000 miles to Los Angeles and get the things I wanted. Instead of following the trends and making safer music that I totally would still have fun making, I risked it all to make the music I make now. When my music reaches a wider audience, all that success will be based on my own sound which is far more worth it to me! Even when a risk “underperforms”, you are in a drastically different situation than you started with which is amazing. Change is the byproduct of risk. SO take risks if you’re reading this. PLEASE!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am extremely proud of my mind. I have an infinite imagination I believe. I would credit that to my childlike take on the world. I kept a strong connection with my inner child. This has allowed me to be able to create art across every platform whether it be film, music, design, food, etc. That’s why I consider myself a creative director first.

But right now I am focusing on the music part of my creative expression. I am slowly releasing my album titled “Dork.” through singles and visual content month to month. So far, I’ve released two singles. My videographer is working on my first official music video that we used insane Hollywood tech to make…and a Tesla!

Even though I am very excited to be working on that campaign and giving it to you all, I am most excited about my cartoon project titled, “Kuronia Rift”. This might actually be the first time I’ve said a working title for this project in public. That is probably my next focus after Dork. releases.

I want to be a black Willy Wonka. So I hope the world is ready for a lot of cool things!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This actually happened in June! I took my friend Steve to my favorite food spot in LA immediately. I took him to Roji Bakery on S La Brea. Amazing bread and pastries. I go there too often. I then took him to the Jungle in Little Tokyo because we both are stinky dorks (see what I did there?) Then I took him to The Getty Villa in Malibu, my first time going! Amazing check on the list for tourist and LA people alike.

In general, I personally think showing people Roji, Melrose, The Grove, anywhere from Venice to Malibu (the beach strip) and at least one museum will make you the best host!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This is a two-pronged but one directional shoutout beam: I met a wonderful friend from the same place I grew up in Los Angeles! His name is Reece. One of my favorite people I’ve ever met. Shoutout to him in general and for his amazing brand DONTREACT! but also shoutout to his book recommendation that still gave me concepts that still live in my thoughts to this day. Reece recommended I read “The Four Agreements”. That book deserves a shoutout too.
