We had the good fortune of connecting with Eden Gamliel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eden, what are you inspired by?
Stories inspire me most. Through stories, we can see the world through different eyes, understand experiences unlike our own, and feel a shared humanity. This connection and understanding can lead to real change – in how we think, how we treat each other, and even in society at large. For me, storytelling isn’t just about entertainment; it’s a powerful tool for connection and inspiration.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I used to ask myself that question of what makes me unique or sets me apart from others. But over time, I’ve realized that authenticity is the key. The more true I am to myself, the more naturally my work will represent me. We’re all inherently unique – no one else has my exact experiences, perspective, or way of expressing themselves.
By fully embracing who I am and letting that shine through my work, I allow my own brand of magic to happen. When I direct a film, produce a commercial, or take on an acting role, it’s inevitably going to be different from how anyone else would do it simply because it’s me doing it.

I believe this applies to all artists and creators. Our individuality is our strength. By tapping into our true selves and expressing that honestly, we create work that is inherently distinct. So now, instead of trying to be different, I focus on being genuinely myself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a foodie with a love for nature, so I’d take them to the Pasadena Botanical Garden, followed by dining at some cool restaurants and cafes in the area, with puffed pancakes for dessert. We’d hike in Malibu to explore waterfalls, and possibly venture further out to Joshua Tree or Big Bear. I also enjoy visiting Venice Beach and Balboa Island for the chill vibes and interesting people.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My journey is shaped by many supportive people. My family encouraged me to chase my dreams, friends helped with countless auditions and productions. Mentors refine my work, and I’m grateful to all who believed in my vision and offered opportunities.
