We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Bingham “Tiffco” and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffco, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want my legacy to be stamped as pure Omnipotent. Omnipotent is one of many words that describes who I am , “ Having unlimited power to accomplish anything. “ Everyone has a time in their life where things get hard or particularly unbalanced for you .
Ya know .
I’ve felt intesity in different stages of my life. I learned to enjoy the fruits of my labor & that’s what I want people to remember me as. No matter the circumstances I conquer any challenge, it shows people the raw & real.
Everybody doesn’t vulnerably vouch that out but the world is craving some for it. Someone who is real & walk in their own truth. I always end up right where I need to be & that’s at the top of the charts. I wouldn’t put myself in the categories of other women that are hero’s. I just want to create my own history that verifies my impact and gives me a sense of Nostalgia.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I feel like everyone is one in a million and if you really think about it you can be speaking statistically. The difference between myself and others is the love & passion I have behind my art. A lot of people outside of my community doesn’t have the same upbringing as me. I grew my following organically by speaking from the heart ‘ using different quotes on my brand to describe the things i’ve overcame & how I can’t be stopped. I fell in love with other hip hop from albums like Floetic by Floetry , College Drop Out by Kanye West ‘ The MisEducation of Lauryn Hill and of course Tupac’. Four of many artist who did poetry. How they expressed themselves over the mic & their word play was crazy to me . Even their soulful beat collection it kept my childhood sparked . As an adult I’m still pushing & thriving working towards my goals. The love I have for my dream is what gives me fuel to keep going . I got this far with God by side.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Born & raised in Los Angeles , It’s no place like home. I’ll definitely tell a friend or family to visit Leimert on a Sunday. It’s black owned business owners like myself . This is a place where you can eat good & get educated. Also different spots with a vibe to check out Fin & Feathers ‘ The District by GS , Kai’s Table located Downtown . All three are blacked owned. I am into great music & having a good time so “ The Dime “ as well as the poetry lounge called The Light house in The Fairfax District. It’s so many places to check out in LA but these are few of my faves
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There isn’t one person I would like to shout out but there Definitely is plenty. I want to give thanks & praise to everyone who has been on this journey with me whether they’ve supported my clothing brand to my music. I can’t just single out one person whose supported me because theirs been many over the years. I just want everyone to know I love & appreciate y’all.
