We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Hildebrand and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what role has risk played in your life or career?
When I think of the meaning and definition of a risk, I believe it to be a catalyst with consequences. Taking risks is an important part for many areas of life, but more specifically for me within the sports realm. As a female soccer coach, player, and co-founder, I believe risks to be one of the most important aspects to achieve greatness. Without them, we are never able to reach our full potential. Whether it is taking the penalty kick, requiting the player, or simply saying yes- accepting risks has always rewarded me with either a lesson or a step further toward achieving my goals.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Frustrated with the challenge of finding good players for our youth teams and realizing there was a discrepancy with the search process, we knew we could build something new and different. Parents deserve to see as much information as possible to be able to make the best most informed decision for their children. We have a mission to reduce friction and complication when it comes to connecting parents and youth sports teams. Being able to see details for the team and Coach that your child is going to be spending a huge amount of time with shouldn’t be complicated, it should be easy. So we created a solution – Sports Bridge. Sports Bridge helps you find your athletes new sports team, one that works for you. Search and filter your way through all teams and coaches in your area who are actively recruiting. Get detailed information on the teams you’re interested in. Information like coach gender, social profiles, training locations and much more are instantly visible.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Should a friend or relative visit Huntington Beach, California I would suggest the following:

1) A stroll down Main Street & PCH for lunch at Duke’s – Hawaiian style seafood & steak!

2) A drink to take the edge off at The Bungalow- Light eats & cocktails in a rustic-chic cottage setting with multiple bars, a patio & ocean views.

3) A Day on the beach near the Pier

4) A stay at Hotel Paséa Hotel & Spa

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are individuals who come into your life to teach, motivate, encourage and push you of course, but there is someone in my life who has taken this a step further and instilled a level of confidence within me that I never thought possible. Ben Knights, Sports Bridge Co-Founder has shown me that what we want can become reality with hard work and a craving to learn. He inspires those around him and he does not make a habit of saying no when it comes to building a relationship with success and growth in all forms. I would not be who I am today without his support and willingness to teach. Thank you- Forever.
