Meet Eldad Alfi

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eldad Alfi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eldad, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Yes I sure do. “The opposite of depression is not Joy, its expression. So create, create, create. For it is the souls medicine.”
I feel like this affirmation embodies our mission at the Zula Den as a space created for people to express their creativity in ways that provide soul healing for both the facilitators and the attendees. It creates a regenerative cycle of goodness that just keeps on giving. Because the more healing, wellness and inspiration people can get out of our zenned out space the more they can pass that on to their circles and thus creating ripple effects of love spreading through the community on person at a time.
What should our readers know about your business?
What sets the Zula Den apart from other studios offering wellness and healing services is that we see our space more of a community center. A place of gathering and community building to inspire people to express their creativity which we believe feeds the soul like no other. Our quarterly Soiree for example is a free full day wellness event offerings dozens of different healing modalities in 10 different spaces simultaneously by over 40 facilitators. It’s like a free sample wellness convention and networking event for people to come get a taste of all the different things that are offered at our space while having a chance to mingle and make meaningful connections with others. Getting started as a new venue in 2023 was tough because we were unknown and had zero of our own following of people to bring out to events. So we focused on simply creating a beautiful and welcoming environment to hold space and inviting facilitators in to come use it risk free by offering a revenue share model instead of just renting out the space for a flat fee like most studios do. This allowed anyone with a great offering to come try it out in our space and that is how we got started and kept proceeding on.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well I am big on nature spots so first of all I would take them to my favorite Hot Springs out in the desert. Then of course any visit to LA must include a plunge in the ocean and a walk through Venice Beach. I also love taking tourists to the Griffith observatory for a nice hike overlooking the entire city and the Hollywood sign. By nighttime I would take them out to cool hidden clubs like No Vacancy or Tea at Shiloh. Some late night live music at the Black Rabbit Rose is always a crown pleaser. Then the next day we would go out to brunch at a fancy spot like abbot Kinney or Larchmont so soak up some California sun.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The inspiration that lead me to create and open a wellness center in Los Angeles had a lot to do with my own spiritual journey which I would say began thanks to my introduction to mens work. This really opened my eyes to the power and potency of this work and it’s ability to bring out the best parts of ourselves. I was also very inspired by my first trip to Burning Man that same year which completely blew my mind. I was especially blown away by the gifting culture and the idea of a society where the more you give the more keeps coming right back at you. This is why the Zula Den was founded as a 501c3 Non Profit organization with a mission to bring healing services to underserved communities.
