Meet Eldrick Vale: Animator, Digital artist, & Art Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eldrick Vale and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eldrick, how do you think about risk?
I think that to move forward in life, taking a risk is necessary. For the first half of my life, I had always stayed within my boundaries. It was safe, yes, but it was dull and I didn’t have any drive to keep going. As I got older and my responsibilities piled up I found out that I needed to take some risk to achieve my goals even if it is hard. At least I am happy doing what I love.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My animations focus mainly on action and comedy that will often come with some lore sprinkled in. I try to create stories that are unique to people. Storywise, I don’t think anything is original but the approach to it can be and that is what I strive to achieve in my work as a storyteller. I am proud of creating a short film from my University and I am excited to continue with the story’s lore. I got to where I am after I took a risk and quit my career in the hospital. I decided that I want to make stories to entertain people, have them relate to characters, and inspire them. Was it easy? Absolutely not! I But nothing ever is. I was scared at first but as I went on through my journey I knew that this is where I belong. I learned to be decisive with my choices. If I were acting like my old self, I would not have got anything done. I guess I want the world to know that I am an average person trying to do great things.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m really simple so if I had to plan out a week-long excursion it would be. Going out to eat KBBQ and exploring the cultures of L.A. Next up would be a day and a half of camping. The beach for half a day would be neat then going out for more food that same night. For the last day’s we’d hit up the theme parks.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Definitely my family and friends. They respected and supported my decision to pursue my passion for art.
