We had the good fortune of connecting with Eleonora Chessa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eleonora, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risks… you gotta risk babe ! If I didn’t risk in first place in 2001 moving from my small home town Alghero in Sardinia Italy ( don’t keep me wrong is a paradise if you had the chance to Google it but no chance for artists ) to Milan I will never be a pro photographer. If I didn’t risk in 2011 I will never be traveling the world and be able to work in America as a pro photographer and attend the most amazing red carpet. I could have failed in first place but with no risk I will not be here as a mother and wife because I will never met my husband … all the people that o have been connected as well and the new amazing Friends
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Every artist express him self different from everyone else and so do I … I consider my self a very chameleonic photographer … I adapt to circumstances very well and I am to capture fragments of life in a very artistic way …. I get excited and adrenaline get highly during a paparazzi shot but I prefer to get excited about fashion projects working with other talented people like stylists, MUA, hair stylist and models or celebrities and kids . I learned that most of the time isn’t about photography but more about how your marketing your self , it’s about public relations , plus now days social media changed the game so is even harder but…
I am a bad ass photographer lol
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The grove for sure ! I think is one of the best place in LA …. great energy , good food , shopping and chill vibe.. Since she is Italian she will sure miss pizza so I will take her Da Pasquale in Beverly Hills And then to the planetarium.
Santa Monica pier, Venice beach and Malibu to have a nice ice cream at Groom …
Universal studios and tour of the celebrity houses and stop at Cactus ( the best Mexican food in LA )
Hollywood walk of fame and pho 99 in north Hollywood..
Beverly Hills and probably a ride all the way to Topanga canyon ….then of course a night out hosted by Tron and DJ Orator .
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh well first of all my family that always supported me no matter what … then my very first boss Fabrizio Corona . If wasn’t for him I will never be in the business probably … he is the one and only that show me how to create contents and to comunicate with journalists and to be on the street and get the work done no matter what and to be available at any time … he is an hard worker and no matter what I will always consider him part of my success.
