We had the good fortune of connecting with Elias Hatzon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elias, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think taking risks is incredibly imperative in achieving a successful career in any field or industry. If I hadn’t taken the risk and moved out to LA from Australia, I wouldn’t have even grown into the performer I am today.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think what I’m most proud of is the fact that I pushed myself to move half way across the world to pursue my career as an actor/musician! The fear inside me kept on yelling at me and trying to deter me from taking the risk but I’m proud of the fact that I hushed up that voice and jumped onto that plane. Everything has been amazing since. Of course there have been days, weeks and months where I felt like I had made a mistake but it was my love for the work that always cured that terrible mindset. One thing that I learnt is surrounding yourself with like minded supportive and encouraging people is beyond important in assisting you along your own journey. Creativity sparks creativity! Success sparks success.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friends came out to visit me in LA, i know exactly what we’d do! The week would start with a day at the Grove LA where we shopped til our wallets didn’t allow us to continue. The next day would consist of beach walks in Santa Monica while enjoying some smoothies and ice cream. Of course we’d end the day watching the sun set at El Matador Beach in Malibu. Then we’d have to be even more touristy and visit both Universal Studios and Disneyland!! Of course! The trip would end with a beautiful night at Griffith Observatory watching the lights of the town reflect the stars in the night sky.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My beautiful and talented friend Emily Kruse, Lucia Xypteras and Arthur Avila.
