We had the good fortune of connecting with BxRod and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi BxRod, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
I am from the Bay Area, Vallejo to be exact. There’s something in the air here. It is a small city, but I have come across so many people from different walks of life. It’s a different frequency for sure. That has had a huge impact on who I am, and how I see the world. I like to think my music reflects that.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Filipino-American songstress, BxRod (Bee-Ex-Rod), is making her mark as an independent music artist. Born and raised in the Bay Area via Vallejo, CA, the self-proclaimed “fantasy wave” singer-songwriter has earned international acclaim for her spellbinding, ambient vocals. Experimenting with self-released short demos on Soundcloud, she began to cultivate a following from her features on Spanish lo-fi hit “Cristal” by Craneo and “Good Lovin” by Jammy, she further released three singles “Play!”, “BBY”, and “Butterfly” from her forthcoming EP. She has been featured on Spotify’s Editorial Playlist “Fresh Finds: The Wave”, and has amassed 2 Million streams across her releases on Spotify.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
morning coffee (always), hike the enchanting Muir Woods or Alamere Falls. sharing a meal at lunch, something yummy and fresh. a bit spicy. there are so many local hidden gems. we would go to the studio and hang out with Doozy. dinner would be sushi <3 top the night off with some of my friends events and concerts, and last but not least dancing!!!
