We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika Broussard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks are how you get the most out of life! It is key to have discernment on which risks are worth it and which are not. All amazing things in life come with some level of risk. Risking rejection when going on an audition, an interview, a date but all needed to get to where you’re meant to be in the aligned opportunity or romance for you. Taking a risk on starting a business, following a goal or dream, trusting yourself, yet all needed to reach your customized version of success! There is risk in giving birth to a child but the rewards most would agree are worth the risk! Great things in life require risk!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Psychic Advisor. It took me a very long time to embrace the word Psychic with confidence because so many do not understand what it actually means, how it works, or have been conditioned to believe it represents something that it is not. Often it is put into a box, when it is much more or even more relatable in some ways than people realize. For years I would only call myself intuitive, which I am! A Psychic is an intuitive person who fully embraces how they intuit information but are also open to being a channel of information for what very often is known deep down already. The path was not easy coming up in a Christian household or religiously driven society that didn’t fully understand my abilities and how it is of the light to help others. They were only conditioned to believe one thing about people like me. I hid a lot of who I was. I overcame the challenges because the only time I truly felt happy or purpose was when I was embracing my gifts after becoming aware of them to help myself learn lessons, about life and my experience on earth as well as helping others. It took years for me to grow truly confident in my gifts and ability to discern the information coming through me. Some are afraid of the word divination however many of us use divination tools everyday without realizing but call it something else. One of the biggest lessons I learned along the way is that I am not a fit for everyone. Compatibility matters even in the relationship between Psychic Advisor and client. Many do not understand that Psychics do not know everything, and that future is not set in stone. The best way to navigate Psychic guidance is actually as a tool for the present. If you like or do not like what a prediction is telling you, you have the discernment and choices in the present to either choose a new path or to continue on in a particular direction, but we do not make things happen in someone’s life, their choices, beliefs, feelings, and behaviors do. I would like everyone to understand that my story as well as my brand is to help you to believe in you! If I can help a client get on track to the best version of themself I feel I have succeeded!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I am being fully honest I am not good with being a host. I am an introvert. However one of the places I would try to make a mini road trip to would be Joshua Tree. I went for my birthday a year ago and it was truly an amazing and rejuvenating experience to be off the grid for a bit and re-charge. It is very beautiful there and the sky is so clear you can see the beauty of the Universe at night.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my mentor Goddess Rhonda Harris-Choudhry who played one of the biggest roles in my journey of embracing my gifts and becoming the woman that I am today! I have so much gratitude for Goddess Rhonda.
