We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Sunisa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erin, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
It’s super important to have a support system that will speak truth, inspiration, and motivation into your life. When I was going through my low points, I felt so worthless and it took my family and friends to show me how far I’ve come and how much I have accomplished. To me, their love and support means the world and I would not be here if it wasn’t for them.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I always had a passion for the stage, film, and music since I was a little girl and knew that this was what I wanted to do as a profession. It wasn’t always easy for me though! My biggest challenge was when I moved out to LA in my little car with my two cats and about $300 in cash in my pocket. At the time, I felt that I needed to do this now or I never would. I had many life lessons, both career and personal, hit me in my face and it was overwhelming to the point where I thought “am I even meant for this?” and anxiety set in. However, as my confidence increased, so did my opportunities. As tackled my anxiety, I had so many amazing projects and groups that I worked in that I was able to be a part of sharing their story through film and music. Looking back, I realize how strong I was to push through when it felt like everything was against me. Resilience is key!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ooo I love coffee, food, and travel so I would take my best friend to both Intelligensia (they have the best coffee beans) and Alfreds for their chagaccino. Then, drive up the PCH and enjoy the views there. I would definitely take them to Pura Vita and end the night at a rooftop bar!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Honestly, so many people in my life have supported me in my journey (and still do)! I would not be where I am today without them and I want to build them up as well when I keep getting more into my career! So major love and blessings to: Brooke, Brandon, Alexa, Sara, Brandt, Nikki, Chris, and so many more!
