We had the good fortune of connecting with Erron Jay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erron, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
Rest when you’re dead.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being an artist is both thee most difficult thing and also thee most fulfilling thing. Everyday is a chance to create something new, to express yourself in a new way. Everyday is also a day to criticize your own choices and downplay your own greatness and contribution to the art. This journey is full of peaks and valleys that I enjoy like I do a good rollercoaster. I love being an actor and a story teller. Stepping into another life for a moment in my own time brings my heart happiness. When challenges arise I often tell myself “you’ve overcame 100 challenges before this one, so press on Erron, you got this!” Along this incredible journey I have learned that pressure makes diamonds, and diamonds shine no matter what! The world should know that my actions speak louder than my words. I will show you how much I love my art by the care I treat it with.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I like to take visitors to events like the Vegan Exchange on Sundays. I’m not vegan, but it is such a great vibe full of amazing energy and good food! We’d also have to visit Pointe Dume beach in Malibu for the views. And if we can make it down to Laguna beach to have dinner at sunset overlooking the beach at Mozambique restaurant. And of course some soul food at Fixin’s downtown after catching LeBron and the Lakers win. And hitting all the sneaker and hypebeast shops on Fairfax is a must!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother deserves everything good in the world. My village of family and friends lift me up daily. And God has carried me through both the toughest of times and the given me blessings that I couldn’t fathom.
