We had the good fortune of connecting with Eugene Rice and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eugene, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that I’ve learned from being in music is the mindset of never giving up. I know that sounds super cliche but it really is that simple. Even someone with a mediocre amount of talent can make waves with enough tenacity. I wish there was a magic button that made you succeed but what it really boils down to is a the ability to march on no matter what happens.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Honestly what sets us apart is our live show, we always bring the party and it’s always an electric performance.

Getting here was a struggle and the hurdles we had to overcome were massive. That being said you’ve gotta just buckle up and hold on in the music world.

As far as lessons learned, I’d say you gotta trust your gut around people. You can’t be afraid to work with people but you’ve gotta be careful. Also never give up you gotta be a pit bull.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d probably take them to the museum of natural history, I love museums, I would also probably hit Malibu, the beaches over there are great and they’re also great food spots.

I’d like to thank all the family’s of the band members, your support means the world to us. I’d like to thank Pati and Noha for always being there for me, Trina for always having my back, Brad and Teena at Malibu music, and all the fans that have supported us.
