We had the good fortune of connecting with Eva Gardner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eva, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I feel like one of the most important habits to my success has been being prepared. So much of what we do and how we carry ourselves depends on our confidence levels. Being prepared removes fear and anxiety and allows us to function at our best!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I take pride in my work ethic and I think that’s why I have been fortunate enough to have a successful career in music. All I ever wanted to do is go on the road and tour. Right after I finished college I reached my dream and did my first tour! I was sleeping on floors and touring in a van and it was glorious! 20 years later I have played some of the worlds most famous venues, like Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden, played TV shows like the Grammys and SNL, with artists like P!nk, Gwen Stefani and Cher. I go above and beyond to be an excellent addition to the team – preparedness, attitude, grace, etc. It’s important to me to be easy to work with, be dependable, prepared and all of the things that make for a fun and smooth work environment. I started out in smelly bars playing to an audience of 3 (usually my parents and the bartender). Over time you build your network, prove you are an asset to the team and beautiful things can happen!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has been by biggest support system. My dad was my first roadie and my parents and sisters came to all of my very first shows. They always understood that music came first for me and encouraged me through the good times and the not so good times.
